We stayed here for one night to enjoy the last weekend of the Carnival of Flowers. It was so good to stay here and rest after walking around most of the day, enjoy some breakfast included to the value of $20.00 which was easy because only a continental breakfast was on offer (being a long weekend and public holiday the cook was on leave - was explained when we checked in so not much we could do about it but have breakfast in town if we so wanted and forgo the included breakfast - so we let it be) Also we found out the night we stayed the restaurant was closed - but this is usual being a Sunday night. We got something to heat up in the microwave. So if you want to not have to go out to eat best stay when the restaurant is open. The room was very comfortable, modern and clean and we had a good sleep. The Shower had good water pressure and the water hot. It was quiet even though the Motel is located on busy Ruthven Street but this makes it well located not far from the central business area. The Manager was pleasant and welcoming. We would stay here again - and will be sure to check first if the cook is working.

Advised by locals to stay here. Welcome not the best as lady was gruff. Breakfast offered in our room but declined & told only time slot to eat dinner in their restraint was 5:30pm. Stayed in room 8, one queen & one single which worked out well as traveled with a friend. Room was spotless, linen fresh & not a crease in sight, bed very comfortable, towels adequate, bathroom very clean & smelt of disinfectant (which I found reassuring). Not noisy at night, reverse cycle worked well & easy check out in the morning

My stay at Ambassador on Ruthven was positive. The rooms were large and well appointed, and clean! The bed comfortable, the shower warm and good pressure (all the important factors!) I was also impressed that despite being a busy weekend, there was no noise transfer between rooms, though there was some from outside (which is fair enough). Would recommend and would stay again.

Comfortable, clean, spacious room, good hot water in the shower, shampoo/conditioner/shower gel all provided via pump aspect in shower. Friendly staff. Parking near our room which was helpful. Prices reasonable We ate on site at the restaurant, prices were comparable, food was good, staff were friendly, good ambience.

Stayed 2 nights on apartment 1. The room had a queen and single bed. It was quite a large room with a desk, sofa, tv and closet. The bathroom was large but because it was made for disabled guests, the shower was just a curtain and a drain. It flooded easily which made rest of the bathroom wet. That aside, the rest of the room was good. Located just 5 mins from cafes, restaurants and grand central shopping mall.

Quite a nice clean motel with a restaurant that also seems popular with locals. Need to book into the restaurant for evening meals. There are no other places to eat with in 1/2 km except for a boutique beer establishment just down the road that has a menu. Room was nice but parking is really tight and you need to be aware of the low roof heights. Breakfast was really ordinary - served in your room but our poached eggs were seriously hard boiled and not what we wanted wifi is reasonable but there is also road noise as this place in on a main thoroughfare.

Great room bed excellent very clean staff very helpful restraunt service excellent food alacart. Breakfast was excellent as well . Room cost was also good value for money . Will stay again if passing through.
