Really a very happy hotel in Otaru! ! ! The grandfather who received is very cute and very nice! ! And every morning, the young lady who has breakfast is also super gentle and cute! ! The breakfast is very rich and one person eats more than a dozen large and small bowls! ! Then the whole hotel style is very Japanese, very warm and family feeling! ! I live alone and the room is also very big. Open the windows and the snow scenery outside is very beautiful, really wonderful! ! Anyway, I will never regret living here! ! I wrote so many comments for the first time because it was so good! !

It's spacious! We were on the fourth floor and had a full kitchen with tableware and cooking utensils, a microwave, a toaster, and a rice cooker. There were two toilets and a full bath. There was a washing machine, dryer, and detergent. The tatami space, dining space, and living space were all spacious, so we could relax and eat comfortably. We bought Hokkaido ingredients such as scallops and melon at a nearby market, cooked them, and ate them, so we were able to enjoy local ingredients and keep our food costs down! We really recommend this place for families!

It was my third stay. The room on the second floor this time was a Japanese-style room in an attic that could return to my childhood, and it was a combination of tatami mats and futons, but I was able to relax very much and enjoyed it (* ^^ *) There was a window, and I was able to taste the feeling of being released, and I was able to spend quiet and relaxing. As usual, you can spend your time with peace of mind by preparing futons, sharing spaces and water. I felt that it would be even more convenient if there was a box tissue in the room. I'm sure you will be taken care of when you have a business in the Sapporo area. It is highly recommended as a comfortable vacation rental because the environment and the owner's heart are much better than where you need to park in coin parking in the city.

Jinyuan is a self-check-in B&B, so remember to contact the host first to get the door code. You can also contact the host again when you arrive. You need to wait for a while. The B&B is very clean and warmly decorated, and the public facilities are well prepared. Slippers, kettles, microwaves, bath towels, bath supplies, hangers, hairdryers, desks, disposable toothbrushes, etc. are provided, as well as bubble bath. The teapot and tea bags can be used to make tea, which is very good. This time I stayed on the second floor and was upgraded from a single room to a larger double room🥳. The heating can be turned on in the room, which is very comfortable. What is more inconvenient is that you need to carry your luggage and walk up the stairs to the second floor, which is a bit difficult. It would also be better if the pillows could be harder ~ The price is cheap and comfortable 👍
Hostel Jumpu Manpan

A delightful hostel run by students from the local Otaru University of Commerce. I had originally imagined this place to be a shabby student dig but the property, a newly renovated house once lived by the CEO of a local company, was better equipped and maintained than some of the hotels I stayed in the centre of this town. As I felt tad too old for a dormitory experience (I had enough of that at school) I opted to stay in a single room. Even in the coldest of seasons the room was warm and cozy, and the bed was comfortable and clean. If you are safety-minded you could ask for a room key, though I found this totally unnecessary as there was always someone looking after the house. There is a large kitchen you can use to prepare food, and unless you are looking to indulge in heavy cooking the facility is more than adequate, and in the living room there was a low table and a kotatsu, a Japanese table with the under-the-table heater and a blanket. You can’t experience this in a hotel normally but it is a traditional winter fixture in Japanese homes. An added bonus of staying here was the chance to speak to the students about their life in Otaru. It was a welcome change to the bland experience I had gotten used to staying in a hotel, and a priceless experience spending time with the young local entrepreneurs.

Hotel location is good, walking distance to the Canal and Shopping street. Hotel room is a good size for family of 4, clean and new. The laundry room has two washing machines, unfortunately, the day we use, one washing machine out of service, and we need to queue to use another one.
