Arc the Hotel Ottawa

The toilet in our room wasn’t working properly when we checked in and they did little to try to fix it. They rip you for extra charges / hidden fees on parking if you don’t book directly with the hotel. Would not stay there again.

My experience at the hotel was excellent. There was coffee shops close so that’s fine.

Arc the Hotel is conveniently located in the heart of downtown, just minutes away from Parliament Hill, the O-Train (Parliament Station), Byward Market, the Rideau Centre, and City Hall. The staff is super helpful and friendly. I particularly enjoyed the lobby detox water (infused with lemon and lime) that was available in the lobby. My hotel room was adequate, although the air conditioner was a little loud. The bathroom was very clean, but the water at the sink had the tendency to splash everywhere, and initially there were some issues with the water not being hot enough in the shower (this was later corrected).

The parking plot is very tricky

Property was easy to find parking was convenient and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Location is excellent. 10 min walk to Parliament Hill. Room was a little dark but there was enough lighting - not so much natural light. We were in 704 which is lane view and you look into an office building. The room had everything we needed including robes and slippers - A nice touch. The room was quite small but efficient and compact. A little outdated but still quite comfortable. The hvac needs to be updated and the fan is quite loud so we turned off the unit right before going to sleep. I used to send my corporate folks to this hotel and it is nice to be able to finally stay for myself. We brought Sparky our 14 yr old mini eskie and he seemed to be comfortable. There is a pet fee and also a parking charge in addition to hotel resort fees. Within a 5 min radius, there is SconeWitch, Tim Hortons, Subway, Circle K and a couple of restaurants. Convenient, does not break the bank and has everything you need.
