My experience at Irene Apartments in Agios Gorgios - Corfu was a terrible one. On the first day when I arrived there, at approximately 5 p.m., I did not find anyone at the reception, the schedule being from 10:00 - 12:00, not being informed by either the travel agency or the accommodation regarding this aspect . . Well, that wasn't the big problem, because I found the keys in the door. The big problem was to find out that the resort had a breakdown in the water supply system, and because of this, most of the restaurants and lodgings did not have water. You can imagine, after 17 hours of driving, all I wanted at that time was a shower, but where did the water come from? I called the lady at the reception on the number left on the door, about 3 times, only for her to answer me in the end and tell me in a rather reserved tone that I had confused her with the phones and that I was insisting a lot . (the schedule on the door for contacting that phone number is until 11:00 p.m.). I tried to ask for clarification about the water situation, it was explained to me briefly, dryly and the lady's English was quite difficult, so I told her that I didn't understand exactly everything and she said "ohh, ok, byee" and -he hung up the phone in his nose, as they say. When we also looked for her through messages and explained her situation, she replied quite dryly with "tragic". Ok...I understand the general situation, but don't take my money for granted! The water supply interval for the accommodation was two hours in the morning and two hours in the evening. The water wasn't enough for all the accommodation, on the upper floors because of the pressure it didn't even go up...so it wasn't proposed IF WE WANT TO HAVE WATER, WE BUY DRINKS, AS WELL AS A BAG IN WHICH WE CAN STORE THE WATER. Should I also tell you that the basin was not filled with water at the toilet even during the supply interval?? I had to keep myself from needing the toilet too much while I was at the accommodation, because I had nothing to draw water with! Obviously we were not compensated of any kind, I bought water, I washed myself most of the time with a bottle and in the toilet I poured water from the can! It is true that the problem was all over the resort, but we were also interested in the other accommodations and those were better supplied with water by the owner and did not have too many shortages. This was not the case with us, we paid the full price for accommodation with normal conditions and the actual conditions received were not half as good as those paid for! I even put money from my pocket to cover my BASIC needs. The cleanliness was very poor, I don't think the stove was ever wiped with more than a cloth moistened with water, the shower curtains were black at the base, due to mold, the walls were full of blood stains (probably from crushed mosquitoes) , including the ceiling as well. There was no mosquito net on the doors and windows. When cleaning was done, I found the doors to
