Rockhampton Hotels with Free Parking.

The hotel was excellent. It was very clean, well-organized, quiet, and comfortable. There were supermarkets and places to eat conveniently located nearby. I would definitely like to stay here again, and I would highly recommend this hotel to others.

It's a great motel for cheap stay. It's quite old, and amenities are also old. Good thing about this motel are the cleaning guys and the one sitting at reception. Everything else is average or below. Don't rely too much on the other positive review of this motel.

Staff were a bit officious at check-in and in my limited subsequent interactions. There seems to be a strong expectation that all guests are either local or repeat visitors (with vehicles). Both the lady who checked me in and the other staff member there at thebtime seemed utterly baffled and even suspicious that I was not familiar with the area and had basic questions about nearby ammenties (supermarkets Etc). There is no 'way to indicate 'do not disturb' which lead to staff coming into the cabin to clean while I was asleep in the room. We both got quite a fright! No harm done, but very easily avoidable especially for week long stays in self catering rooms which you would not expect to receive cleaning service until you check out.

Cattle City Motor Inn is viable because of its proximity to Rockhampton CBD and access to the arterials for North Rockhampton. It does however suffer with its location on a major thoroughfare such as Gladstone Road which has a fair volume of traffic. Room was tidy and neat but bath towel shredded upon first use as it had been washed and dried too many times. Room fridge was askew as one leg was missing/broken and toilet flushed and kept running. All fixable. Air con being on when you arrived would have helped on a 35 degree day.

We checked in with no problems however were located next to people who were heavily drinking and smoking, not normally a problem except that the doors are paper thin, thin aircon sucked in the smoke and the people stayed up ALL NIGHT talking loudly so we got little sleep. There's no one at the motel to advise from 8pm until 7am. We had an 800km plus drive the following day. I wont stay again and this was our 6th stay at this hotel over the years. The tavern had lovely food and a special on chicken snitzels and the bar staff were lovely.

Everything we needed was provided. Park directly infront of the door, the courtyard was fenced in. Washmashine worked great. The room was good and mostly clean, the bed was a bit damaged on the side and the airconditioner was pretty loud, and needs to be fixed. But it was not a big deal. All in all a nice Motel.

Breakfast is a very simple Western-style breakfast with few varieties, only bread, milk, juice, butter, jam, oatmeal, but can also be full. The rooms are spacious and clean with all facilities. There is a restaurant not far from the hotel where you can eat. As a hotel for a one-night transition on the road, it was good.
