ïŒïŒïŒthe good - warm bathroom floor, daytime reception lady's service attitude (the ex-nurse), aircon, downstairs quiet seating area, coffee and croissants in morning, blackout curtains, windows/view of racecourse
ïŒïŒïŒthe bad - booking error by Roomzzz - they cancelled the wrong dates when i made a change (although compensated us with upgrade thank you), no free parking (and the ringgo app forced us to pay GBP15 for 24 hours for only part-day parking), we had to remind staff about room cleaning twice, the night receptionist was not customer-friendly and also was constantly listened to loud TV on speaker, the bed sheets had some stains on when we checked in see pic.

GGuest UserLovely hotel and great location however the room was disappointing for the price, one of the armchairs was badly damaged and the other brown stains on the material. Sections of wallpaper were peeling off which gave it a very tired appearance.
The iron board was also broke and we had to prop it up on a chair. The room we booked looked nothing like the images on the advertisement and I had to check with reception we had the correct room.
For ÂŁ330 a night I donât feel we had a premium room, the staff however were lovely and very welcoming.

GGuest UserWelcoming staff, comfortable bed and spacious room, excellent leisure and spa facilities including a relaxation suite which was true to its word, plus a jacuzzi cave, like something from Alice in Wonderland, topped with the hottest steam room ive been in for years. Pool long but jot that wide for serious swimmers.

GGuest UserLovely hotel with nice big clean rooms. A few issues though - you really need a car to get here as it's a bit far out from the city centre. In my room there was a room service menu and a number to dial for room service, but no phone. The food and drink was ok. During my stay there was only 1 person on the bar and service was a little slow. I ordered a soft drink and it was a bit flat, definitely not worth the ÂŁ4 they charged for it. Because of staff shortages the dining room was filled with tables that needed to be cleaned. Breakfast was also a bit of a disaster. They charge ÂŁ15 for it but definitely not worth it. There's a self serve hot buffet which was fine, nothing exceptional. There was no coffee available, just tea bags and hot water. Also there were no plates available at the continental station - really missing attention to detail when there were quite a few staff members present.

SSharon PatriciaWe had a lovely time it was one of our celebration for our 50th wedding anniversary and the staff were great. I had knee surgery 12 weeks ago. They made sure we had a downstairs room and even found another chair to go in our room as I needed one with arms on to get up.
We had dinner at the restaurant Friday evening and the food and service was quick and excellent.

GGuest UserAs a big fan of Premier Inns I felt this one wasn't up to their usual standard. Beds always very comfortable but the bedding wasnt adequate, slightly ill-fitting. Also the room was cold and the air con set to high did not work. The TV also did not work in our room, aerial connection was cited aa the reason on-screen.
On a lesser and more personal note, i like the scrambled eggs option in the morning but only fried eggs were offered at breakfast.

GGuest UserFor a normal size breakfast you had to pay extra, the heating was broken in the spa so it was quite cold. The hotel did look a bit tatty in places. Service was lacking, always had to chase the staff members. Lovely building and good location.

GGuest UserThis is a very traditional hotel. It has a very good leisure centre (so donât forget your swim suit).
The hotel has a large bar area which is very comfortable and the prices reasonable.
There is a large free car park.
The staff are friendly and helpful.
