Outstanding
AAmi0518The hotel is absolutely beautiful, with a fantastic environment. The mini-bar in the room's refrigerator is stocked with various drinks and ice cream, and there are also drinks and snacks available in the lobby. Besides the yukatas provided in the rooms, you can also choose a floral one. The onsen (hot spring bath) is also amazing. The breakfast and dinner dishes are also quite commendable.
AAnonymous UserThe environment here is lovely, and you can even spot deer. Before booking, I read some reviews mentioning issues with English communication, but during my stay, both the restaurant staff and the front desk were able to communicate in English. The front desk even used a translator to explain things. The outdoor hot springs are absolutely beautiful.
DDellIt was not entirely clear at time of booking whether I would be assigned a dorm bed and arrived prepared to be so assigned. I believe the situation is the dorm is reserved for group reservations so you normally be assigned a private room with shared bathroom. This made the room a great value and a memorable stay.
TTutusThis was the most anticipated part of our entire trip, and it certainly didn't disappoint!
#Hotel Location: Excellent. It's right on the hot spring street, and behind it is the pier for lake boat tours (Happy Boardwalk).
#Hotel Service: They upgraded us to a large suite for free, and the view was absolutely fantastic. I loved the suite's layout, amenities, and the smart toilet. The outdoor hot spring faces the lake, and the male and female baths rotate at different times, so you can try them all (っ˘ڡ˘ς)♨️
The buffet was also good, and we additionally ordered a red king crab which was delicious. You can book many activities and experiences at the hotel. There's an outdoor shop called Siri on the first floor of the hotel where you can book activities like hiking and lake tours. My friend and I booked the night forest light show at the front desk. The only thing worth complaining about is how ugly the hot spring robes are – absolutely no desire to take photos in them!
GGuest UserVery good location. Reasonable price. It's a great location for catch train travelers. You can pick your deposited baggage form Train station, go and back in 10 minutes.
GGuest UserGood location. 5-min walk from the JR station.
Staff could not speak English. Room was very small. The hotel almost kissed the building of next door for those rooms below 5th floor. I was on the 4th floor, hence, I could only see the outside environment from a very narrow gap. WIFI was not strong in every part of the room. Be patient to walk around for the stronger WIFI connection. Not many shops around.
GGuest UserLocation- on other end of the row of hotels around Lake Akan boat cruise area so it is further away from the Ainu Kotan (Village) and convenience store. But boat cruise has 2 embarkation points, with one just a few minutes walk on the left of the hotel entrance so this is ok. Also a short walk to the Bokke (bubbling mud).
Only negative point is that the carpark lots are limited so we had to use the hotel shuttle to go to and from the car parked in an open space about a block away.
Winning point is the roof-top open-air public bath; it is a mixed gender public bath accessible separately from the male and female indoor baths which provides elastic banded tops and shorts to wear before going to the mixed gender pool. Allowed us to meet there to enjoy the beautiful sunset, mountains and lake views.
Buffet breakfast and dinners were excellent; even though alcohol was not included unlike another hotel which we stayed in, there was plenty of food variety which were fresh and tasty. Highly recommend this hotel.
AAyitkeOnsen is not nice as is shared among male and female at alternate times. But service and food is tiptop. The free flow bar is a nice touch up. Will totally recommended if you dont use the onsen🤭
GGuest UserHotel is clean though toilet is small and sink too low. Dinner was ok but breakfast was not too good. Reception is friendly and hotel gave us some nice buns to take away. There is an onsen onsite which had an outdoor area as well.
MMackey119It was conveniently located near Kushiro Station, so I stayed for one night. The room was modest and neither good nor bad, but there was no air conditioning, only a fan. Fortunately, it was cool outside on September 16th, so I was able to solve the problem by opening the window and turning on the fan, but I wouldn't recommend staying there in the middle of summer, like August.
