Great
GGuest UserVery nice hotel just near a tram and metro access have a nice view and spa and a awesome gym !!
However be careful the road is quite noisy so prefer a room with ocean view. And it was quite cold during our stay the night and there was no option to turn on the heat.
Those two points were a bit disappointing due to the price of the hotel but else it was good
AAnonymous UserThis hotel is in a very convenient location if you need to be at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Staff at reception was very friendly and welcoming and the room is spacious and at first sight looks comfortable (it looks better in reality than on the photos I took). Unfortunately, the beds are extremely soft though. That is of course a matter of personal preference and some guests may like the soft mattresses, but I couldn't sleep on them. Fortunately, there was a sofa in the room that was large enough to sleep on and much more comfortable than the beds;-) I might stay here again because of the location, but in terms of beds this would probably not be my first choice.
RRajaratnam ChitranganThe plates smell of egg. The seating area in level 1 cloth seats needs cleaning customers hair left.
Great location and friendly staff and good quality building.
Good quality is not great and breakfast choices are very limited.
Management needs to take some quick actions to the above.
GGuest UserThe location is good, close to the center. The reception staff was friendly.
The restaurant was poorly clean. Cables and other items were scattered around the buffet. The breakfast area was unappealing. The waiters only superficially wiped the tables. The buffet looked uninviting.
Overall, it's okay for an overnight stay, but unsuitable for a clean and pleasant breakfast.
HHuikudeyuzxy523The hotel's location is excellent, right opposite the central station, making it very convenient for getting around. The hotel itself is a bit old, but some facilities have been renovated, so it's generally acceptable. The breakfast offers a good variety, and you can even order à la carte, plus the service is decent. However, a major pitfall is the Wi-Fi – if you're not careful when connecting, you can easily select a paid option. My husband experienced this, and we immediately went to the front desk to explain and request a cancellation. They initially said there was no charge, but this morning at checkout, the bill still included it. Furthermore, we called for two pairs of slippers and had to call multiple times over two hours before they were finally delivered. It was quite frustrating.
GGuest UserI booked quite last minute so quite an expensive stay but still good value especially taking into account the wide choice and excellent continental breakfast and a free drink as I am an IHG member.
Checking in staff patient and helpful which is always appreciated as an older woman travelling solo!
Well located near the main station in walking distance but also tram stops practically outside the entrance (if your case is heavy as mine was) and you can pay by swiping your debit card on/off as you do now on the tube -just so easy to do.
The shop in reception was well stacked with a good variety of items which were more expensive but you’re paying for the convenience.
The room was great and the air conditioning a real blessing in the heatwave.
I’d definitely stay there again and would happily recommend it to others especially solo travellers. I felt very safe there.
GGuest UserWe stayed at Ibis Rotterdam City Centre for three nights. The location is great and the staff were generally friendly, but unfortunately we had repeated issues with the room heating. On the first night, the heating in our room (112) was not working and we were very cold. Since no technicians were available at night, the reception could not offer a solution, and the problem was fixed the next morning.
However, on the third night the heating broke down again and started blowing cold air, this time only in our room. The staff were unable to fix it, so we had to change rooms late at night and move all our belongings to a new room. The new room worked fine, but the experience was quite inconvenient.
Having the same issue twice and needing to move rooms made our stay less comfortable than expected.
GGuest UserConveniently located near Blaak train and MRT stations, just a 5-6 minute walk away. The Blaak tram stop (Line 1) and another stop are also within a 5-6 minute walk.
The surrounding area feels quiet and safe. The room is spacious and includes a kettle and a small refrigerator.
The double bed is actually two single beds pushed together; the middle one is recessed.
Self-service check-in and check-out is available, with friendly staff providing assistance.
AAnonymous UserThe Hostel was pretty good, the only downside really was the bed, since there's bunk beds, the space between the bed under and the bed above is really tiny, I hit my head 4 times in row at night, couldn't really sleep well after I hit my head bc sometimes I wake up from the heat sicne the ac was not working properly even though it seems that it send a bit of air, it's not enough to keep the room cool. Otherwise everything was alright.
