Te Anau Hotels with Free Parking.

Our family enjoyed our two days stay on this cosy small town on the visit to Milford Sound Cruise . We had the opportunity to taste local NZ foods without much disappointment. The minus point was we booked for 3 single beds room but was given 1 queen and 1 single , not matching the product description.

Very interesting house, we were arranged in a carriage, yes, a room converted from a train carriage, very unique. We arrived very late the night before and couldn't find the way to check in. The hotel manager also drove to guide us to check in after work. The next morning, he also prepared a very authentic and delicious homemade breakfast for us. This is the best room I have stayed in during this trip to New Zealand!

This hotel was a perfect place to stay the night before heading to Milford Sound. The owner is Chinese, and in the quiet town of Te Anau, he felt incredibly friendly. We departed from Queenstown that evening and arrived after our 8 PM check-in time. After contacting Ctrip customer service, the front desk responded quickly. Upon arrival, the owner had thoughtfully printed a note on the desk, and the room was immaculately clean. The drive to the sound takes two hours, and there's a self-service gas station nearby, making it very convenient for refueling before departure and back in Queenstown. Overall, the stay was excellent.

This was the best holiday park we stayed at in New Zealand. The rooms were clean, and the common areas were spacious. There was even an oven, so we could have a barbecue. The location is also excellent – right across the road from Te Anau town center, close to the lake, and with a large supermarket and petrol station nearby. Definitely a place I'd want to revisit!

Initially, I was hesitant to book this hotel, thinking it might be a motel. But I really couldn't find any other hotels available. Upon closer inspection, I realized this room type was great: two bedrooms – one with a king bed, one with a queen, plus bunk beds. It was more than enough space. The environment was lovely, and we even had a little cat visit us!

I would have given this a 5-star rating. However, I deducted one star due to staff behaviour and a fire alarm that went off at 5:00 a.m., requiring guests to evacuate the hotel. Additionally, the staff could benefit from some customer service training, particularly in showing warmth and empathy toward guests. When we visited the front desk at 12:30 p.m. to enquire about an early check-in, the staff member was not at all understanding or accommodating. She bluntly say “No” and kept looking at her monitor without any reason.

Love this place very much. Very clean and spacious room, there were elderly friendly toilet & bathroom ( we had another bathroom with bathtub). The kitchen is well equipped. The view overlooking the lake was superb. Jetty to glowworms just in walking distance (1km). Numerous restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance as well (1-1.5km). You can just park your car in the apartment and walk slowly along the lake to enjoy the stunning scenery.

The hotel is right by Lake Te Anau, just across the road, offering stunning lake views as soon as you step out. Parking is convenient, and the room size is medium, perfectly adequate and clean for a tourist stay. There's no elevator, so carrying heavy luggage upstairs was a bit strenuous. The breakfast buffet offers a good variety of food, and the restaurant is nice. The hotel is about 700-800 meters from the Chinese restaurants in town, which is reasonably convenient.

Lovely warm clean comfortable motel. Fantastic shower and lots warm bedding. Just a teeny disappointed we didn’t see any staff or management our entire stay of three nights. Obviously staffing shortages in the area but would have appreciated a friendly face at some stage.

The door lock to the bathroom is not working. Light in bathroom is flickering. Need some maintenance. But good thing is it is very clean despite the old hotel. Location is good too.
