Green Tree Hotel

I have organised day trips for our Woman's group for over 14 years and this was the best day we have ever had. From my initial inquiry to our arrival the attention I received was first class. Our menu choices were pre ordered, the staff delivered this with a professional precision. This is the first year I have had no grumbles or complaints and from over 25 ladies this is a first. The staff, service quality and presentation were superb.

This hotel is a bit dated in decor but is very clean and reasonably priced with breakfast included. The room has everything you need for a short stay, the pillows are exceptional. I would recommend this hotel and the restaurant, we had an evening meal and found the food good quality and very tasty. The staff are fantastic friendly and really helpful.

My husband and I had dinner here twice in the week, and we were certainly not disappointed. The staff are extremely friendly, polite and helpful. The food was absolutely amazing. Quality fresh ingredients, cooked to perfection and delicious. Highly recommend The Haggis Bonbons.

Terrific room overlooking the High Street, friendly staff, good breakfast, lively well stocked bar, great value. There's even a car park with lots of space at the back. Really what's not to like?! Go!

The hotel is very well positioned in Peebles. Whilst the hotel is very clean it is a little tired but don't let me spoil what was a very enjoyable stay. Everyone I spoke to in Peebles said how good the food was. I cannot disagree the dinner was excellent and the staff superb. I was recommended to dine in, Alan at the shop. Caledonia, on the High street was most emphatic to ensure we dined in. Thanks to all at the Green Tree.

Great friendly staff,easy check in, fantastic food, dinner menu has something for everyone, breakfast cooked to order and plentyful. Great value for money, rooms very comfortable. Easy free parking, always a bonus. Always made very welcome*****

My views are somewhat mixed to be honest. Firstly the room, the furniture & carpet needs replacing & the whole room could just do with a refurb, that said the room & bathroom were clean & the beds comfy, linen & towels were clean too. The food was outstanding both breakfast & evening meals & the staff were friendly & helpful too. The location is perfect for visiting the area & Peebles is a lovely town. We really enjoyed our stay & would return

We had the pleasure of visiting this establishment after my uncles funeral. ( this was his favourite place). The service provided was five star and staff couldn’t have been better. They even managed to accommodate my husbands celiac disease and provided a gluten free platter, just for him. Will definitely be returning and would highly recommend to anyone.

Firstly, let me say the staff did a great job, they were helpful, attentive and worked hard. But the hotel itself, sadly that’s another story altogether. Everything about the fabric and fittings of the hotel was tired, unloved and in the case of the carpets dirty. I know it’s only 2 stars, but someone is making money out of this hotel and its restaurant but they aren’t putting a penny back into making it acceptable. The food in the restaurant was fine, the service very good. We won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend anyone else to stay here.
