This is one of the best hotels we have been to. We took the Grand number. The little things in the room are amazing, even the pajamas are pink, all the towels are scented, overall a very cool room. Our breakfast was included, everything was delicious, except for the freshly squeezed juice, which was very diluted. The hotel area is small, but what a view by the pool, it’s just a bomb, like you’re in a movie. This hotel was recommended to me and I have never regretted it. Friends and I are delighted!

The breakfast was a disappointment, the first buffet night we loved and booked for another night. The next night was the breakfast ‘a la carte', and we paid exactly the same value. The reason is that they did not make buffets when they had less than 30 guests, and only when we eat were about 25 people at the table... That's great! We would be back.

We had a great time in Bel Air resort! We arrived very spontaneously as we decided to stay longer on the beautiful Gili Air island. The other hotel we stayed (but did not have a room available for the next days) recommended this hotel. I can understand why, staff is super friendly and really go above and beyond. Room was clean and nice and the pool was clean too which seems an exception on Gili air. Will come again and recommend to others!

We booked Ke rensia villas for part of our honeymoon. Before we arrived, we messaged via *********** to ask if it was ok if we checked in at 12pm as that's when our boat was arriving. The owners responded and said yes, that would be fine. We arrived after a very long journey on an extremely hot day. Both of us were pouring with sweat after finally reaching the hotel with very heavy bags. When we arrived we were told our room wasn't ready and wouldn't be for another 2 hours. We were told 'you can walk around for 2 hours and come back'. When we insisted we had already arranged an early check in, the female member of staff who works on the desk was extremely rude to us and shrugged her shoulders and said 'that's just our check in time'. Eventually we were seated in the restaurant, Lockdown Kitchen and the staff said they would get a villa ready for us. When we were finally shown the villa, we were really disappointed. It was dirty, with a filthy breakfast bar area and there were several dead insect stains on the walls and a dead, squashed cockroach on the floor. The bedroom was extremely dark and dingy too, with a very hard bed. It was definitely not the romantic villa in the photos. To make matters worse, the location of the villa meant that ants, flies, enormous spiders and other flying creatures constantly came into the kitchen area and then also into our bedroom. On several occasions we had to call the front desk to have very large spiders removed from our villa because they kept ending up in our bedroom. It was really difficult to relax and go to sleep at night when we were worried about huge spiders coming under the large gap under the door and into our bedroom. On the first night some of the electrics in the villa complex also went out which meant our garden lights stopped working and we couldn't sit by our pool in the evenings. This still wasn't fixed when we checked out. Breakfast was average. I tried two coffees while we were here, both of which were abysmal and had to be thrown away. The banana pancakes I had were passable. You also couldn't close or lock the bathroom door from the inside which meant there wasn't much privacy going to the bathroom. Overall this was an extremely disappointing stay. The only plus point for this hotel was the lovely male staff members who were really friendly and helpful. However we would definitely not stay here again when we return to Gili Air and will not be recommending this hotel. This stay nearly ruined our honeymoon and we desperately wished we had booked somewhere else. In conclusion, the female member of staff here needs some customer training and if you like clean places and you aren't a fan of insects you definitely shouldn't book here.

My wife and I stayed at Turtle Beach Hotel for 10 days in August 2023. It is one of the few mid-range beachfront properties with a pool on Gili Air, and is located on the sunrise side of the island looking towards Lombok. There are numerous restsurants and bars in close proximity. Good snorkelling can be had straight off the beach in front of the hotel. We saw turtles every day. Gili Air is extremely chilled and overall we had a lovely relaxing stay. All of the accommodation is in thatched roof joglo - style Bungalows on either side of the pool. The Bungalows furthest from the beach have no view, and the bungalows backing onto the neighbouring Raja Bar may have some noise issues at night. We only occasionally heard the all from the mosque in the centre of the island, and it was too far away to be any issue. Breakfast each morning was adequate with toast, eggs, fruit and coffee. The onsite restaurant wasn't open for food other than breakfast, but Biba Beach Village hotel next door would do room or poolside service if you wanted. Bicycles and mask/snorkle/fins are available for hire (50k per day) from in front of the hotel. (Bike lights don't work so bring a head torch with you). The manager of Turtle Beach was friendly, attentive and engaging, however most of the staff were young, untrained and had little clue about what they were expected to do. The rooms were large with four poster beads, mosquito nets, AC, room safe and fridge. All rooms had a balcony with a couple of basic chairs. Wifi was pretty useless. The bathroom was set below the room level, with a set of wooden stairs to enter it, which always worried my wife at night as her mobility isn't great. One of the lights in our room was hanging by the wires and only worked intermittently. The shower was cold. The room was serviced daily. The pool was large, and the water clean, although the area around the pool was pretty dusty and grubby and rarely cleaned by the staff. The sun loungers were in various states of repair. I found this lack of simple maintenance a bit frustrating. The beachfront area was also very underutilised, with the furniture needing repair. Overall though, we had a very relaxing stay and the maintenance issues were more frustrating than problematic. Laundry can be done same day just around the corner at Banana Cottages for 25k/kg. The best dinner deals on the sunrise side were at Chillout BBQ. Next door Biba Beach hotel did good espresso coffee.

We should be the first Chinese to stay in... Let's arrive at Gili Air. See the environment on the island. I have retired with my fellow friends. The island is very original. The transportation is only bicycles and carriages. The carriage is very expensive. From the pier to the hotel, you can only take a carriage. The hotel is not easy to find. The room is not the same as expected. Although it is a villa, the conditions on the island are still incomparable with the island of Lombok. It is not recommended to stay overnight on Gili Island.

From our first step into this resort, we were made to feel welcome. All rooms are cabana style with direct access into the most amazing pool on Gili Air. Rooms had very comfortable king size beds with amazing pillows. TV with Netflix was installed and internet access superb. A good breakfast (freshly cooked from the menu) was served next to the second infinity pool overlooking the sea. Nightly films showing on a large screen which is common in Gili Air. Especially nice was the manager and family inviting us to join in with a sing-a-long at night whilst sat on bean bags next to the pool. No, this hotel is not perfect but if it was it would have 5 stars and be much more expensive. The pools, rooms and staff will give you a 5 star experience so please do not overlook this little gem. We’ve been staying at Gili Buana Hostel for two nights in a private room. Right now the whole island is rather quiet, but you can tell that this place is absolute magic once filled with people again :-) it is very clean, beds are comfortable, there is a pool and even a volleyball field, and plenty of space to relax or sit together with friends. Also plenty of space to put your stuff when using the shared bathrooms and working AC 😉 The owners are really nice and friendly people too, always taking the time to chat with us and good to ask for advice what to do/where to go/etc. totally recommend (and hopefully will be back one day)! (Gili Air is such a beautiful place in general btw, like paradise)

Everyone is super friendly, the rooms are basic, but very clean and tidy, however your not going to spend too much time in the room anyway. The diving is excellent. My partner and i took the beginners dive. Our instructor was Zac, he's a top bloke and helped my pattern immensely as she was really struggling at first. She is now completely hooked on diving and we are already looking at our next trip and will be back to dive with the excellent team at Gili Air Manta dive. Thank you all so much!
