I thought the hotel was suitable for a trip where you just want to stay. The room was old, but the fabric was clean and the bed was not too soft, but comfortable to sleep on. The shower door was not fitted to the correct size, so the shower water leaked into the toilet. We had to think about how to turn the shower so that it would not leak. The surrounding area is a high-class, quiet residential area, and if you take a walk in the spring flowers bloom, you can enjoy the gardens of each house."

I grabbed food at a nearby cafe each morning, which wasn't a problem, but be sure to factor that extra cost into your budget. The room was a little on the small side, and I heard some noise from outside at times. It's not a fancy hotel, and there aren't any amenities beyond free Wi-Fi. The location, however, was fantastic. It's just a short walk from the tram stop, and most of Edinburgh's attractions were within a 10-15 minute drive. There's even free parking on-site, which is a major plus in the city. Overall, the Adelphi Hotel was a decent choice for my short stay. It's perfect if you're on a budget and don't mind a basic room without frills. Just be prepared to find breakfast elsewhere and manage your expectations."
