Ratings for all except service based on website. rating on SERVICE based on experience for reasons entirely out of my control, I had to cancel my stay 24hrs beforehand. I called to let them know. I advised I had to cancel and the reply was (word for word) " ok , that's still chargeable". NO ' I'm sorry to hear that' NO "maybe we can find another date so you don't lose your money"... no ' we can't refund you but do you want a credit on account'. if I'd have phoned 12 hours earlier my money would have been refunded or I could have amended my booking. the blame was put on TRIP as I was told ' you booked through them and they wont help you. So I'll be avoiding this place when I go up for my trip, and I'd advise others to avoid places with staff as uninterested as here.

A delightful hotel. Warm welcome on arrival. Room comfortable, beds exceptionally so. Kettle and mugs , teabags, instant coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits, milk and sugar all kept in a handy tray inside the bedside cabinet. We ate in one night - food was delicious. The chef came out to talk to the diners later which was a nice touch. We were asked to choose breakfast the day before - makes sense then the kitchen knows how much to order. Breakfast was nicely presented.

Just had a weekend away with friends in this lovely small boutique hotel, we stayed in Friarton room, whilst our friends were in slightly bigger Oakbank (all rooms names not numbers) Both were booked as front facing superior rooms. We had a lovely new bathroom in the room and all was very clean and looked after well. We had both a delicious dinner and extensive breakfast, with plenty of local and Scottish produce. We met the chef, who came out to see the tables. If you are looking for a great, well kept, convenient and friendly place to stay in Perth then look no further. We all left saying it was a highlight of our trip. I would also recommend booking with them for dinner and breakfast.

Check in was rather regimented, we had to fill in a detailed form and choose one item from each selection for breakfast to be given back to reception that evening. Room was on the first floor, facing the front of the hotel, no lift. The room had such a creaky floor we felt sorry for the people downstairs. Very light curtains, no blackout blinds. Huge bathroom with rain fall shower was obviously new, difficult watching the traffic whilst on the loo! We found no attention to detail as hair in the shower and on the washbasin, the filthiest remote controller we had ever seen and dust!! Decided not to have tea from the tray as I am sure something was growing in the bottom of the kettle!!! However, the large bed was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very mediocre!! I think the skip full of old mattresses in the car park at the front of the hotel does not give good first impressions!!! We will definitely NOT be returning!!

What i can i say about this place except you must go. The staff are fantastic and attentive, Alex who seemed to do the reception, bar and restaurant had great knowledge about the area and golfing. He had a great many stories to tell. Aaron who was also on was very pleasant and looked after us well. The food here was really good and even if just visiting i would certainly come back just for that. The housekeeping team do a fantastic job to make sure that the room was spotless and pillows were superbly fluffed. I would mention though don’t make the mistake we did and read the information form they give you at check in as this tells you all you need to know especially where the tea and coffee is kept. Well done Parklands, our first visit was wonderful and it certainly will not be the last.

Super friendly welcome from receptionist, think it may be Kerri, and everything was explained about the hotel which was really helpful after a long journey. We were on dinner, bed and breakfast rate and stayed 2 nights which was great value. Breakfast offering was excellent quality and piping hot and plenty of choice. Our dinners were the highlight of our holiday and easily the nicest food we had during our 2 weeks away-lamb and steak first night then fish and chips and chicken the second which were all well presented and tasted delicious. Rooms were spotlessly clean, bright and we had a lovely view over the equally spotless garden. Sad to leave but we will definitely come back and stay and it was nice to see hands on owners like Scott at reception checking his guests were all happy-a thing sadly not seen enough in hospitality these days. Thanks to you all!!

Stayed here for 1 night on business. Private hotel located near the Town Centre. Right on the edge of a beautiful park and 300m from the River Ray. Full of character, this hotel is clean, spacious and very friendly. Private Car Park with lots of space. Rooms are very well equipped and very comfortable. Can't vouch for Breakfast but the Restaurant food was amazing. Excellent service and the food was beautiful. I will stay here again.

I am now using this hotel for my small golf tour business and get consistently great feedback from the people I put here. Definitely still the best hotel in Perth and still winning awards. Now has fantastic beer garden. Facilities are spot on and team very friendly.

This is the first review I’ve ever left but felt it was really quite necessary especially when I read other similar comments. It’s an ok hotel, but it most certainly is not the 4 star that is billed. Arrival, poor customer service. Handed key and a piece of paper to book breakfast handed to me within 30 second and sent on my way. Could not have gone through booking in fast enough & felt an inconvenience. Stairs to room smell badly. Room clean, bathroom superb but most uncomfortable bed I’ve slept on and I travel a lot! It’s an ok hotel but it most certainly is not five star, some public areas feel dated especially toilets. 3 star at best
