Best Pet Friendly Hotels in Chengde

I don't usually review places, but I couldn't help but recommend them. It was so relaxing and comfortable here, and everyone of all ages could find something fun. The tent room's facilities exceeded my expectations, with a smart toilet, private bathroom, and comfortable bedding. Bottled water and a kettle were also provided. It was a bit chilly in the mountains at night on May 1st, but the air conditioning provided heat and an electric blanket, so I slept soundly. I experienced the wildness, the facilities were convenient, and the service was just the right amount of friendly. It was a very comfortable stay. I felt the owner's attentiveness and dedication in every aspect, from the supplies to the quality of the food and the design. It was absolutely amazing. It's a great place to escape from the world. There are deer, black pigs, and poultry nearby. You can climb a small hill to the observation deck to enjoy the breeze, bask in the sun on a lounge chair, watch ducks swimming in the water, and see bubbles bursting in the sun. There's also a big, spoiled dog. The cafe is perfect for playing chess and reading. It's a perfect place to lie down and daydream. Falling asleep under the starry sky with the sound of gurgling water is quiet and comfortable. A light rain in the morning brings another scene. The breakfast is simple but delicious, especially the pickled vegetables I pickled myself. I like it here and will come again.

Overall, my stay at the Aranya Jinshanling Lanshan Hotel was decent. The hotel staff were very responsive to requests, basically on-call. However, I have to specifically complain about the breakfast at Mano Pizza – the experience was a huge disappointment: 1. The food quality was mediocre. The bacon served at breakfast was processed, and the overall selection was very limited, not even comparable to a Hanting Hotel. 2. Traveling with a small baby, I was stopped immediately by a staff member upon entering the restaurant. They insisted I present a verification code before being allowed in. With a baby in my arms, I couldn't possibly pull out my phone. I tried to explain and asked if I could first sit down and settle the baby before verifying, but the staff member was unyielding and unsympathetic, completely lacking any human consideration. Additionally, I noticed staff members smoking in groups in the underground parking lot. I suggest better management of this issue.

The B&B is small but feels cozy everywhere. The owner is very kind; they specially drove us to the Jinshanling Great Wall entrance in the morning, even though it's only a 7-8 minute walk from the hotel. I've been to several sections of the Great Wall, and I've always wished to stay in a hotel where I could see it! Today, that wish finally came true. You can see the Great Wall from the third floor of the B&B! Very comfortable.

My stay at this hotel was very pleasant. The hotel has an elegant environment, complete facilities and good service. The room was clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable and made people sleep well. The staff is warm and friendly and ready to help. The breakfast is rich in variety and delicious. Overall, this hotel is doing well and I highly recommend it to travelers seeking comfort. Satisfaction is extremely high.

The triple room was okay overall. The bed was a bit uncomfortable and there were bugs. The location is quite close to the Great Wall, so it's a good option for those who want to climb it. The Hotel is located at a busy central road. Lots of shops around and a good popular grocery store. The staff is welcoming and helpful as it can be. 5 stars. The room is small but okay. The bed is comfortable like most chinese beds. The bathroom is super tiny and had some plumbing problems also the grey water from the shower runs across the floor to the sink, bear in bind when you put dowm a towel for your feet. The light in all rooms is very dark and everything in the room was laying under a urine smell caused by the aircon. That's the reason we would not stay here again. The breakfast is great but the room is too small to fit all guests, so it gets super busy. Plus point: you can tale your bicycle to the rooms.

The location of the guest house is just perfect,only 10 minutes walk from the mid entrance of the great wall. From there you can explore the Wall walking east and it’s the best,very few people. But the best thing about the accomodation is the sweet family managing it! The food is just delicious,with huge portions and big choice! The lady also gave me a big help to find a good taxi to go back to Gobeikou. Especially when you travel solo it’ is really nice to see such big smiles and help! I can only recommend it!

This is a nice and clean hotel close to restaurants and shops, and they accepted me as a foreigner without a problem. But it was the very first time on my two year long bicycle journey that I had to leave my bicycle outside the hotel in a car park. I know that China is a safe country, because there are security cameras everywhere, but if something happens to my bike, it might be the end of my journey. The other disturbing thing was that the staff was talking very loud in the corridor at 6.30 am and I couldn't get enough sleep. Please keep in mind that people want to rest and sleep .You can talk to each other in a more polite way.

We were scared of large crowds at the wall, and followimg many online recommendation we found the Jinshanling section. This hotel is at the great location a short walk from the mid enterance to the wall section, the Gubeikou train station is also very reachable from the Beijingbei (North) train station. It is also quite affordable to reach the place by Didi (550 yuan from the Beijing airport). The place is clean, and the food really stands out as quite amazing, the prices are also very low, for room and food. Just tell the owner you would want a breakfast and you will be served one first thing in the morning. The ladies are also super nice and very hospitable to the foreign turists.

The room was very clean, the air conditioning and warm air were also very good, the boss was really enthusiastic, the photography technology was also very good, the homestay was full of photos of the Great Wall he took. The car was picked up and sent to the ticket gate, saving the cost of the shuttle bus. Next time I go to Jinshanling Great Wall, I will stay at his house.
