SSongguoqingA surprisingly good hotel.
First off, the location is excellent. It's a 3-minute walk to Wanren Palace Wall and just a street away from the Confucius Temple.
As for the environment, it's a charming Chinese garden style, with all rooms being independent villas or townhouses.
Regarding service, after check-in, the butler escorted us to our room. We received welcome fruits, and the butler immediately sent over a local travel guide. We were also able to check out late at 1 PM.
The only minor drawback was that breakfast was quite average.

GGuest UserThanks to the proximity to the main gate of 孔庙 Kong miao, I could easily watch their opening ceremony starting at 8 am. Room is cozy and clean. Receptionists didn't speak English but were polite and kind. Nice family-run hotel.

GGuest UserOlder hotel, but still in pretty good condition. Nice quiet location. Breakfast OK. Must have the strongest coffee in China. Still, hotels providing toast without butter or margarine is a bit of a bugbear of mine, but a minor problem nonetheless. Shout out to the staff at this place who were all attentive, helpful and wonderfully pleasant. This hotel is about 1500m due South of the old town South Gate. To get to the hotel from the fast train station, take bus K01 (¥1) and get off at Datong Lu. Turn right for a hand made noodle restaurant at the intersection. Across the road is a popular McDonald's, and downstairs from that is a fully stocked supermarket. The 'san kong' sights start at the South Gate where you buy your thru ticke int. The temple and mansion are very interesting, and expect crowds. ¥7 for a Didi to the South Gate. The cemetery where 100k Kong people are buried is worth a look for the Confucius burial area. This area is only a 500m walk from the entrance. The whole wooded area is large, but you can skip the bus tour as they only stop at the main site anyway, and drive like Fangio through the rest. A slow three wheel open trike cost ¥10 back to the hotel

MM50038****The bathroom was tiny, and the toilet looked quite old. The sink wasn't particularly clean either. Mobile reception in the room was poor, and the hotel's Wi-Fi signal was weak; it was okay for watching videos but not recommended for gaming. The room wasn't very spacious, with two beds and a narrow aisle. Parking was available right in front of the hotel with free spots. The hotel is very close to the Confucius Temple, just a two-minute walk. The only upside was the very friendly owners; they answered all our questions, and the elderly couple was very welcoming. It was alright for a two-night stay while taking the kids to school, especially considering the much lower price. Can't expect too much for what we paid, this is an honest review.

GGuest UserTruly a delightful stay! The location is super convenient, with plenty of food and drink options nearby. The staff were very friendly and patient, and the room was clean and tidy. The environment was also quiet, making for a very comfortable stay. Highly recommended!
Oh, and there's a peacock in the lobby – I actually saw it spread its tail feathers!
GGuest UserThe hotel hasn't been open for long, and the decor is simple yet elegant. The hygiene is excellent, and the bed and pillows are quite comfortable. The front desk recommended some local eateries that are popular with the residents, and they were indeed great – generous portions and delicious food. The breakfast selection was a bit limited and on the cold side, so I'd suggest improving the variety and ensuring it's served warmer.
MMatin ArablouIt was one of the best hotels. Friendly and helpful staffs. The room was clean and cozy. We enjoyed our stay. It’s highly recommended. Our favourite spot in Qufu.
