Had to wait in lobby for half an hour to check in because the attendant was ”out”, then was told our reservation wasn't in the system, and then I was told we couldn't use the pool even though that was the only reason we chose that particular hotel. We stuck it out, but the next morning the housekeepers followed us down the hall begging for tips, and when we got back that night there were people parked in the entrance to the parking lot partying and we had to drive over the curb to get in. Front desk staff ignored our concerns and complaints, and an hour before check out the housekeepers wouldn't quit knocking and begging us to check out early and leave them tips. Worst experience ever.

This hotel was the best price-to-hotel experience value I have ever experienced in a hotel room. I found a shockingly low rate through a travel site. The reviews here were generally positive, so I booked it, even though I almost always book directly through the hotel. I was afraid the deal was too good to be true. It was not. Staying in the Residence Inn was a great experience. First, the location is ideal. The hotel is across the street from City Hall and within a block of subway stations for both lines. It's a 5-minute walk to JFK Plaza (the Love sculpture), a 5-minute walk to the Reading Terminal Market, a less than 5-minute walk to the restaurants and bars on 13th Street south of Market, and a 10-minute walk to the Independence Hall/Liberty Bell area. There is also a Phlash bus stop two blocks away, and from there you are a quick bus ride to the Old City section east and the museums north/west. It was about 15 minutes on the subway to the sports stadiums in the south part of the city. The hotel is really ideally placed in the city for visitors. The service was really good. The front desk agents were super nice and super helpful. The workers in the breakfast area were also very nice and helpful. The hotel itself is very nice. It felt like an old building that had been recently renovated. It's not luxurious, but it's clean, attractive and nicely maintained. The room itself was a true suite, with a bedroom with a door and a room (where you walk in) that had a living area, a full kitchen (full-size fridge, stove, microwave, etc.), and a table with chairs. There are TVs in both rooms. Everything was clean and well maintained in the room. The bed was comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was good. It was just a really comfortable place to be. The room had one of my favorite features: The bathroom sink was outside of the bathroom door, so one person could use the sink while the other went to the bathroom or took a shower. Our room came with breakfast, which was open 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. during the week and until 10 a.m. on the weekends. It was a standard hotel buffet (like a Hampton Inn), with fruit, eggs, bacon, yogurt, cereal, milk, bread, etc. Oddly, there were no pastries or anything else dessert-like. My only real complaint about the buffet was that they routinely ran out of a lot of things, regardless of the time we went to breakfast. The only negative of the whole experience was the bathroom itself. It was clean, but it was more beat up and not as new or nice as the rest of the room. I would not have cared much about that, but the bigger problem is that rather than a curtain or full door for the tub/shower, there was a swinging door that only covered a little more than half of the tub. The first time I showered, the door was not in the perfect position, so the floor was filled with water when I got back. I also don't like showering when half the tub is wide open. The design was just not good. On top of that, the bathroom sink wat

Facilities: The facilities are good, but some needs such as refrigerators and microwave ovens need to be called separately, but the hotel will respond in a timely manner.
Hygiene: Hygiene is very good, clean and tidy!
Environment: The geographical location is extremely superior, and it is very convenient to do everything. Ordering Chinese food takeaway is very close to Chinatown, and the food is always hot when it is delivered.

All the high-end hotels in Philadelphia are concentrated around here, right?
Location:
The location is definitely not to mention, it is located in the city center, right outside the city hall and other internet celebrity check-in points.
parking:
There is a valet parking service, but it is very expensive.
bed:
The bed was really too soft and it was hard to sleep.
Room facilities:
In addition, when I ordered it, there was a bathtub in the picture, so I ordered it because I could take a bath, but it didn't happen at all.
Value for money:
In terms of value for money, I think apart from the excellent location, everything else is not worth it.

Excellent
GGuest UserWe’re so glad we found a comfortable and friendly hotel in Philly when visiting our kids who attend a nearby college. Our last stay was fantastic, thanks to hotel manager Nicole and her excellent team, who really made us feel at home. Our room was perfect and it was so nice that they were able to accommodate our request for a certain floor and view. We were even welcomed back with a handwritten note in our room. We are most likely forgetting some of the wonderful team members here, but Montrose, Alesha, Sheyenne, and Daoud were really helpful and very friendly at the front desk and concierge desk. Also great were Jackie, Teresa, and others in the club lounge. Service in the club lounge was excellent, even when things got busy, and the food was good, too, with a number of options to choose from. Between the friendly staff, personal attention, and proximity to both university city and center city, we know we will be back!
GGuest UserVisit Philadelphia every year and always would stay at Ritz Carlton. This weekend was booked so decided to try the Sofitel and so glad I did. This is our new home when we come to Philly for sports and entertainment. The staff and service is top notch. Ivan the concierge was absolutely wonderful in helping me with surprises for my son for his 21st birthday. He arranged and beautiful balloon bouquet as well as a bottle of chilled champagne and a very nice note. He also was so helpful with restaurant and bar selections and was a wealth of helpful knowledge. The front desk personnel were very pleasant and the rooms and amenities were all great (including the downstairs bar/restaurant). Last but not least the location near Rittenhouse square was very safe and a wonderful area for restaurants, shopping and bars just a short walk away. We look forward to our next trip to Philly and Ivan and the staff I know will be there with open arms. Thank you again for your help.
GGuest UserThe location is awesome. Easy to get to and from the major attraction in the city. i was there for the Penn Relays and it was a great, easy scenic 1.5 mile walk to and from each day. Got my exercise while seeing the city from on foot. Best of all on my walks this was how i decided where I would eat breakfast and dinner. So I was able to try something different each day. i was a little tempted to try Ruth Chris but I did not :(. The train ride to and from the airport was quick, easy directions to follow and though not the most scenic ride on the train, seeing the steel and stuff looks industrial America. I likes!!
I did try one of the take out Chinese food spots ..oh man.. that was colorful to say the least...Bring Your Own Bag!! What an experience that was.. I guess its a city thing. The room was nice. I got real comfy real fast. The bed was super comfy and the view reminded me of my college days in NY. Just watching cars go by and at night with the lights reflecting off the windows creating various patterns.
My only challenge was the TV... can you believe after all that good stuff my issue was the TV!? Just the hardest thing to navigate. maybe its cause I dont watch enough TV. :).
GGuest UserWe chose this hotel because it offered breakfast and the others in the area did not. I am so glad we went with Holiday Inn Exprs Penns Landing! There breakfast was hot and wonderful. Best breakfast in a hotel hands down! It was walking distance to most all historical sites. I was worrying because it seemed on the map a bit farther out than other options and I am totally out of shape. I am probably in the heaviest ten percent of the population (morbidly obese). It was a very easy walk for me to Betsy Ross House, Ben Franklin Gravesite, Elfareth Alley, Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Liberty Visitor Center and great local dining. The location, room and breakfast was great. Clean hotel in very safe area. I felt very safe even at night. I will say the interstate noise is incredibly loud at night. If you are a light sleeper go elsewhere. However, we are a family if heavy sleepers and I was the only one who noticed the interstate noise but not enough to keep me awake. Loved this place
GGuest UserI understand that the property had been renovated. The room looked okay, I found dried crusty blood stains on the bedsheets. The room walls are thin, needless to say everyone screaming at each other in the room next door (probably high on **** and alcohol) at 1 am in the morning is my nightly entertainment? Only 2 sets of towels and this new eco-friendly policy means you don't get any new towels unless you ask and then nobody shows up. The toilet paper holder in the bathroom was broken, I had to flush the toilet a couple of times for it to work. The shower is nice and spacious. The cleaning crew must have been understaffed, because there was mold in between the shower tiles. There is no functioning ventilation in the bathroom. The air conditioning, when and if it works, is super loud. Upon arrival it was set to 72, I tried changing it to 68, but it jumped back to 72. TV was working, unlike the remote, some keys were just dead. The room smelled musty. No microwave, the fridge was not cooling either. I thought maybe the ice machine on the 5th floor could cool my water down a little. Come to find out that the ice machine wasn't working and from the looks of it, it never has! Also, the ice machine room looks like World War 2 has left its mark. The ceiling is about to fall down and it's dirty. The hallway has nice carpet but again, the cleaning crew might not be fully staffed and dirty fries were left all over the hallway (5th floor). I see that the hotel has a non-smoking policy. This may apparently only apply to cigarettes. Floor 5 and 12 reek of ********* so badly, it creeps into the rooms and makes a good night sleep close to impossible. It's not a whiff you get from someone who has recently smoked walking by, it comes from the rooms. It is utterly disgusting and Hilton should be ashamed. The staff at the front desk is jaded and rude, I'd be too if I had to deal with what's coming through that hotel. Breakfast doesn't open until 7am which didn't work for us because we came for a business trip and had to leave the hotel by 7am. Also, breakfast is not included in the $700 for 2 nights. Instead you choose from 3 or 4 overpriced omelets from a menu. $40 for 2 mini omelets and a cup of coffee. It didn't taste too bad but that price is not justified. Also, the breakfast room is way too dark. I could barely see the food in front of me. Parking is an insult to be honest. Philly is not a safe city and for $700 for 2 nights I would have expected parking at the hotel or at least covered parking that is being monitored at no extra charge. Instead, you can drive 1500 yards down the road to an open parking lot that will cost you $13 a night ($15 if you use a valet). It is not monitored, no security and any random person can walk in there and wreak havoc. Shameful. Overall, not a Hilton experience, for the price I paid I would have expected service which I didn't get. Never again and I am hoping other Hilton properties aren't so shameful.
GGuest UserExcellent location. Very easy to walk anywhere. A bit of a small room but good for 1 or 2 people. Room is not sound proof at all, heard next door chit chatting late at night.
IioiioiThe hotel decoration and environment are good. The room is very spacious and the bed is clean. In addition, the food provided in the restaurant is also very delicious. The overall stay experience is relatively good. recommend. 🌹
CCKYThe sound insulation was bad, can heard the water pipe, the people in the hallway, and the outside cars. If you are a quite sleeper, don't choice here. Overall the value of the cost is okay. The parking charge is not that reasonable.
DDominick79Huanpeng Hotel is basically the more reliable American Express hotel. Breakfast is the most convenient place. It is more suitable for the habits of Chinese people. The hotel is located near the airport. It is more convenient and operates in accordance with the standard mode. Parking is also attractive. point
马马The road in front of the hotel has a main road and a secondary road with a separation belt in the middle. Baidu navigation has always been prompted to sit on the road, the result has been walking on the left main road, eyes can not enter the hotel, have to turn back. The room was clean and the service was good. No coffee pot, no hot water, instant noodles can't be soaked. The left hand of the hotel is not far from the intersection. There is a Chinese-opened restaurant. It is good to pay for food by self-service.
