Very nice hotel on the most central street in Pingyao. The hosts were super friendly and helped us in every way possible. When we arrived, they picked up our bags in the city center and gave us an introduction to the history of Pingyao. The map they gave us was very useful. Highly recommended!

The room was not the one we booked!!! When we asked the reason, the answer was that the one we had booked was further from the center. We had not been warned! We had booked a room with two single beds and we found a double bed on the floor. I had actually looked for the room with normal beds because we both suffer from back pain. It was supposed to be on the 1-2 floor, but the room we were assigned was on the ground floor and you couldn't keep the window open because people were looking at you. It was a terrible experience! Also, the room I had booked was bigger and cost more, but the owner did not offer to pay the difference. No one speaks English, communication was difficult. Also, the smell of cigarette smoke was very strong, unbearable at the entrance. Breakfast only for Chinese. Also, he had the courage to ask me for 5 stars.

The hotel is located in a perfect location, in a traditional building in the area. The bed is very comfortable. The staff is very friendly, always attentive and willing to help. Thank you very much!
