I went there for a coffe in the morning. Horrible experience - not welcoming, unfriendly service, long waiting time, dirty restroom - waste of 30min of my life for a lukewarm coffee. They do not accept card below 10 euros either. It spoiled a otherwise nice visit of the chiemsee.

The children had 2 spaghetti ice creams and we had espressos. The spaghetti ice cream consisted almost entirely of cream and was almost melted. The espressos, on the other hand, were rather cold. We won't be coming back.

Pizza-yummy! Coffee-yummy! We wanted to give it 5 points, but at the end when we paid the waiter asked for one euro more :( A bit of a rip-off, but it was still unpleasant... So 2 points gone.

We drank a coffee that was very watery. We mentioned it and the answer was simply that the grind was set that way. It must be said that they have their own coffee roastery (Schiller Kaffeerösterei). So they should be able to make decent coffee. The spaghetti ice cream and the coppa croccante were mediocre. We have had better ice cream. Unfortunately, this place fulfills the cliché of a tourist rip-off in an otherwise beautiful holiday resort on Lake Chiemsee. Perhaps the food in the restaurant is better. We didn't try it after this experience.

The Westernacher is a restaurant on the lake promenade in Prien. The staff were attentive and generally fairly friendly. Unfortunately, the dishes were served quite late. The pizzas were very tasty and had a thin base. The roast suckling pig and the gnocchi with chanterelles tasted excellent, but the portion size could certainly be improved. The menu focuses on pizzas, but offers something for every taste and is still manageable. In terms of cleanliness, there is some room for improvement in the removal of insects. Overall, however, it was a very pleasant stay and therefore a solid 4.
