Beautiful little inn tucked away in the hills of the Duoro Valley located in a small magical village. Casa do Santa is serene, quaint and peaceful. Upon arriving we were greeted by Maria who couldn't have been more hospitable. The room had a beautiful view with an enormous door that opened to the outside. My friend and I had a delicious tuna salad out by the pool for dinner. We loved our night here!

What a great place to enjoy some peace and quiet and a beautiful view. The host Maria is incredibly friendly and accommodating, I highly recommend booking a stay here!

This place was remarkably peaceful and welcoming. Very clean with all the comforts. Maria was exceptional in greeting us and providing a history of the winery. She welcomed us with a glass of port. Definitely a recommended stay!!

Superbe place pour séjourner dans la vallée du Douro.
L’hôte est gentille, accueillante et donne de bon conseils!! L’endroit est magnifique. C’est un petit gîte décoré avec goût.

If you have a car, and have the good fortune to be traveling in the Douro Valley, this place is not to be missed. It is a bit hard to get to, but well worth the effort. Fantastic setting, beautiful rooms and amenities, and 5-star service.
This is a family-run guesthouse, and Maria knows the area, the history, the products, and the hospitality business. Just a gem.
I regret that I didn’t build in a day just to relax, visit one or 2 of the nearby (5 minute drive) wineries, and relax by the pool with the spectacular view of the Valley.
Casa do Santo receives my highest recommendation.

Hidden away in the original wine village. Quiet and peaceful a decent drive to Pinhão on windey roads. Maria was incredibly helpful booking dinner and tastings at local quintas for us. Nothing was a problem. Property is new and impeccably clean, great pool and view. Great place for a peaceful break. Would definitely stay here again.
