Review Riosol Hotel I want to start this review, by saying, that different people have different standards. Mine aren't massively high. I have never set foot in a five-star hotel, so I don't even know what that is like. However, I have a cardinal rule, where I don't book anything below four-star hotels. And although I know that comes off as being spoiled, Riosol Hotel is a great example of why. My buddy, booked the hotel, based on the pictures, which look great. But, I should have read the flipping reviews. So I take full responsibility. Anyway.... Along the way, somewhere I guess in the nineteen eighties, or early nineties, the quality to star ratio for hotels and resorts, has gone a bit wonky. Whereas, back in the day, a three-star hotel meant something, nowadays, it usually means disappointment. The overall look and feel — The entire hotel looks run down. One of the main lifts, was broken, which meant that you were kept waiting. I can only imagine if the hotel is fully booked, it must be true hell. The cabins/apartments all look worn out. I don't know when they took the pictures that are on their website, but they must be old, or heavily photoshopped. Because it doesn't look like that at all. My apartment — When I first arrived at my place, the door was wide open. I should have known right there and then something was up. The "living room" was worn out, and the furniture had seen better days. The room had a kitchenette, which was hilariously bad. Literally, everything was crooked. The tap, had been glued to the countertop. Oh, did I mention there was no airconditioning? Again, this is my fault for not paying attention. But, oh boy, would I regret that one. The bathroom, was equally worn out. The floor wasn't level, so I couldn't fully open the door. The next day, I understood, why the door front door was open. There was a mouldy stench that made it unpleasant to stay indoors. They changed the towels, every 2-3 days, which is now a standard thing. However, even the towels had seen better days. Bedroom — Right, the same here, worn out and all in all, pretty terrible. The beds were short, even for me, and I am only 1,67m. Furthermore, the beds were very lightweight, which meant that if you were to lean against the headrest, the beds would start to move. The bed linen looked okay. I didn't dare sleep underneath the blanket, as I was afraid of passing out from heat exhaustion. Remember no, airco. There was a fan, but it was noisy. The Food — Nothing to write home about. Breakfast was good, nothing special. I would recommend eating out for dinner and lunch. Also, I noticed that several windows in the restaurant were cracked. And every table I sat at, throughout the week, had the corners knocked off. Like I mentioned, the place was worn out. The Staff — The staff were friendly, and helpful. The Pools — There are two pools, one is the Island of Stars, which is at the very top of the hotel. It wasn't included in the price, whic
