The location was very convenient, literally walking-distance to subway or bus stations. It's also close to the church and there are lots of food stores nearby.
The check-in process for foreigners are easy and simple.
The price is very affordable (we've stayed here for 4D3N for 720rmb, includes breakfast for 3 days and a coffee voucher can be taken at the reception desk).
The room was small, but it's enough since we weren't staying at the hotel all day. The amenities are complete as listed on Trip.com . The minibars are free as well (including the ones on the fridge).

Haitian is not my first hotel that I stayed arriving into Qingdao. I stayed at the Westin and Shangri-La. By far, Haitian is the best hotel that I’ve experienced over these 3 hotels. From checkin to the rooms and amenities. Jack was the one checked me in. Service was excellent. He has given me all the information upon checkin and also he has kept me informed on the weather and making sure I had a comfortable stay. I really did have a great stay at this hotel and will definitely recommend to my friends in the future. Keep the great work Jack. Thank you for making my stay a memorable one.

Location was great (2-3 min walk from metro) and very near to tourist attractions (good for night walks, about 20 min walk to may 4th square with many roadside food stalls and restaurants available / 1 metro stop to may 4th square). Service was great and meticulous. Towels were all in disinfected packaging. Only downside was that they only had 2 lifts and we had to wait really long just to go back / come down from our room as the lift will stop at most levels on the way.

It is really convenient to choose tourist accommodation near Wusi Square, whether traveling or going to Internet celebrity attractions. The hotel facilities are very new and the mattresses are very comfortable, but the bedding in the room is very wavy. What I didn't expect was that there are two different types of pillows, which is very considerate. The hotel's service is very attentive. Miss Xiao Lei at the front desk is very gentle and considerate. Although there was a little incident before check-in, the manager handled it well. The only drawback is that the curtains have a medium shading effect, but overall the experience is still very good.

Really great location and the amenities include a kitchenette and washing machine which was really helpful. The hotel is a short walk from the metro and is nested in a residential building, there are three separate receptions for different hotels in the building all on the ground floor.
Couldn't really connect to the smart home systems due to not having a Chinese number but it's a common problem across China. The reception team is friendly and there is luggage storage post check out.

Great location for the Olympic park and boat trips. The apartment was super clean and we had suite on the 27th floor with stunning views of Qingdao city.
The only drawbacks were the room wasn’t cleaned properly after our first night. They didn’t give us new cups after the first night. We had to used the same cutlery.

The room was not cleaned when I checked in, so I had to wait for more than ten minutes. Fortunately, there was a coffee machine and tea in the lobby, so I didn't feel bored while waiting.
The room is moderately spacious, and the parent-child room is enough for three people. Although the room was just cleaned, the floor of the bathroom was very dry, and there was no trace of cleaning, which proved that the ventilation was very good. The drinks in the minibar are free, and the mineral water has been increased according to the number of guests, which is a good point!
The hotel has supper at night, you can drink porridge and eat buns, which is a feature; for breakfast, although the restaurant food area is not large, the products are exquisite and there are many kinds of food.

This is a mixed review for me. On one hand, we paid for a Seaview that had a building blocking 80% of our view. When we asked to change rooms, they gave us a run around and told us to deal with it. We contacted ctrip, and quickly got a room with a better view. From that point they were pretty kind and courteous. Afterwards, we went to the Hawaiian BBQ restaurant that is affiliated with the hotel. We could only stay there an hour as they were closing. My girlfriend and I had one beer apiece, along with two plates of cold kebabs as they didn’t want to heat anything else. We would have eaten more, but there was no food. When the bill came, it was 572. That was surprising to say the least. Throughout the days to come, we realize that all of the restaurants were quite expensive. So when we looked at their room service selection, we were happy as it appeared to be less expensive. Each meal, we bought no more than 300 worth. And we only ate four times while we were there. The bill came out to 4300. I don’t know where their additional expenses came from. The hotel offered quite a few amenities, but we were busy exploring the city. Please not they have very slow room service. However, besides our initial interaction, all of the staff were kind and warm, It is therefore that I say that it was a mixed review. And I hope that this helps someone when deciding to stay.

EECIDCThe 180-degree sea-facing parent-child room I booked does not have a balcony, but there is a large French window that can be opened. There is a guardrail outside, so you can lean on the railing and look out, or sit on the sofa and stare at the sea. There are always seabirds flying over the sea, and you can watch them for a long time. The meals must be praised, and the breakfast set meal is needless to say, it is highly recommended! At noon and in the evening, we ordered stir-fried dishes, and the dishes we ordered were all delicious. They were a little expensive, but the taste was really good and there was no thunder at all. The sweet soup in the evening was also delicious, and the children liked it very much. There are also cats in the yard, facial masks, eye masks, and many good memories. I hope I can come again if I have the chance.

GGuest UserQingdao Shangri-la's service needs major improvements, the level of negligence and sheer rudeness of staff was shocking and unfitting for a second tier city like Qingdao. We really expected better.
We stayed at the hotel for five nights in May. We arrived in the afternoon around 4pm -- way past the earliest time for check in, but were told by the staff that the room is not ready. They only allowed us to keep our luggage with the reception, and couldn't even tell us when the room will be ready again. What's worse -- we had to ask in order to get a slight upgrade. This is the worst service I've seen in a five-star hotel in China.
There's more. We visited the mediteranean restaurant in the hotel for a quick pre-dinner drink and snack, as we got a voucher with our stay. After we ordered drinks, a complimentary snack and some fries, the Chinese staff commented, ”You guys are eating very little”. That's quite unimaginable to me to be treated as such in an upscale venue like this. We didn't want to spend more at that restaurant, even though the quality of the food was fine.
Shangri-la, please train your Chinese staff and align them with your global standards. Guests deserve better.

Cchristo VermeulenI just love this hotel! It's quite new and clean and it has a good feel to it. Moreover, I stayed in a Korean style apartment on the 7th floor and it was equiped with a washing machine, microwave oven, little stove and a small refrigerator. I also had a dining table and study desk in my room. I'm of the opinion that I got real value for money. What I also enjoyed was the big night market nearby, I went there every night during my stay and I really enjoyed the delicious snacks and food.

First and foremost, the receptionist displayed exceptional customer service. Our early morning arrival was met with a warm welcome and an unexpected early check-in. This considerate gesture allowed us to freshen up and kick-start our adventure, setting a positive tone for our stay.
During our visit, there was a minor hiccup with housekeeping - a misplaced pair of Nike Air Max shoes. Thankfully, the vigilant receptionist swiftly resolved the issue, locating and returning the missing item promptly. To make amends for the inconvenience, they went the extra mile, offering a small gift and complimentary breakfast coupons as a gesture of goodwill. Such attentiveness to guest needs is truly commendable.
While we chose to explore authentic local cuisine during our trip, bypassing hotel dining, I cannot provide feedback on the food quality or variety.
In terms of location, this hotel scores points for convenience. Taxis are readily available, and it took us just 30 minutes to reach the stunning Laoshan Mountain, a must-visit destination. Additionally, the hotel's proximity to a bustling night market right across the street adds to its appeal.
However, there's room for improvement, notably in the cleanliness department. The bathrooms, in particular, left much to be desired, with an unpleasant odour lingering during our stay. Broken equipment, such as the wardrobe, was also in need of repair. Furthermore, the electric kettle was not up to our cleanliness standards, discouraging its use.
In summary, this hotel offers excellent customer service, convenient access to transportation and local attractions, and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction. However, attention to cleanliness and maintenance, especially in the bathrooms, is an area that could use some enhancement.

The location is also good. Mainly, this hotel is not close to the subway and bus, and it is not close to the scenic spots. Convenient, not too close to the attractions. It's a long walk to take more than a dozen buses, and it's not easy to pick up a taxi. The sound insulation is not very good. You can hear it very clearly when opening and closing the doors of rooms on the same floor. The windows are next to the road downstairs and the overall sound insulation is not very good.

The front desk of the hotel said that there was a free coffee gift on the first night, and a glass of ice latte was really delicious! ! I asked the front desk to know that this was prepared by the hotel owner. The boss himself is also a coffee hobby. He uses the good beans that the boss drinks by himself. Like me like coffee to live must taste, better than star dad.
I am used to staying in a chain hotel. It is rare to encounter a hotel that makes me feel warm and cost-effective. It is worth my serious evaluation and worth recommending.

RRE_cyclingWe had an apartment on the 3rd floor. There was some dirt left in the bathroom, the drain was partly clogged by hairs which you dont immediately see, because it is under a cover. Inside the apartment there are stairs leading to a second level but upstairs there is nothing except for an additional bed and no windows.
Its a little unhandy that you need to go to the 9th floor of the neighbouring building to check in.
The view from the main apartment is pretty nice, one can see the sea from the bed! Location is also nice, close to the seafront.
