I originally searched Expidia for “Costa Rican scuba resorts “ San Bada is not a Scuba resort. I went to the closest town and found a dive shop. And what the staff in Dan Bada told me was true, The” diving here is not very good “proved correct. But I crossed “Diving the Pacific “off my bucket list. Which brings me to the thing about Costa Rica. It is well developed. The people are but every thing is not measured in hours not miles or klicks. San Bada is 3 hours from the airport.I did “Eco” Tourism. San Bada is just outside of Manuel Antonio national Park. Great experience. But if you want to go the Volcsmic hot springs,2 hours away. The jungle Zip lines , not to far 45 mins good scuba 6hrs away (like on the Carribean side of the country) the volcano’s 4 hours away. So you need to rent a car because transportation from the airport (3 hours away) is $180 (each way) the closest town is called (I think) Ocaso nice town and they a “Malicon”along the beach,festive weekends. And a farmers market.as well as a few clubs.But I have done that. To American females, you do not do “eco” tours in a Sundress and sandals.i explained that to my daughters when I took them to Tobago. I plan to go back to Costa Rica. But I will spend one week on the Atlantic side at a SCUBA resort and one week at San Bada.

We had a wonderful 6 night stay at Hotel San Bada. The location was perfect, right next door to Manuel Antonio national park! Our room was nice and comfortable-we couldn't use the balcony because of the monkeys, but since the balcony was basically the rainforest that was expected. Breakfast was so so, but the restaurant makes yummy tortilla soup, and the Perezoso sushi bar on the roof was nice-looking our onto the treetops. The staff was nice and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

Hotel San Bada is nestled up next to the Nacional Parque Manuel Antonio, so it's just a quick walk to the entrance from the room. The rooms were comfortable, however we were unable to access the patio as the screen door had completely seized up. The rate included a breakfast buffet in the Congo Restaurant. The pool is descent with a bar and there is beach access. The area if very walkable with shopping and dining options nearby.

Right next to the beach and park, the location was excellent. Friendly staff, decent pool and nice rooms (except for the flat pillows). The place feels a bit dated and the rooftop restaurant has a weird vibe. Dinner was ok. The breakfast was horrible- few choices and low quality.

Experiencia excelente en este hotel. Está al lado del parque de Manuel Antonio. Las habitación están muy bien y muy cómodas. El restaurante tiene una vista increíble y la comida rica, pero sobre todo recalco la amabilidad de su trabajadores, los chicos de recepción Gerardo,Francisco y Kenneth no pueden ser más amables. El día que nos íbamos visitamos el parque porque venían a buscarnos a las 15:00 horas, nos diluvió y nos dejaron una habitación, todas las toallas que necesitamos para ducharnos, cambiarnos etc. Totalmente recomendable

El hotel San Bada es estupendo. Es la tercera vez que me alojo en él. Me encanta su atención, orden, limpieza… y comida vegana. Esta vez he probado el masaje sueco del spa. Maravilloso. Muchas gracias Andrea por tu profesionalidad. Sin duda volveré.
