Si Como No Resort & Wildlife Refuge

This hotel was the highlight of our accommodations during our 9-day trip in Costa Rica. The view alone was worth the price of the stay. I requested this hotel when I booked my trip through a travel agency so didn’t look at photos of the room beforehand. I based my request of the high ratings from TripAdvisor and was not disappointed. The king-sized bed was so comfortable, I slept 12 hours on my first night there, which is rare for me anywhere. This was a family trip, with kids aged 11 and 7, so I was a bit worried that their bed would be a pull-out from converted sofa. It wasn’t. It was the same high-quality comfortable bed but in a queen size, and the kids slept well. The whole hotel was well-designed and integrated into the surroundings, so in addition to the view, we saw lizards and monkeys roam the premises. Such a treat! The kids pool has a waterslide that the kids went on over and over again and had a blast. We only had 2 nights here because of scheduling, but I honestly think we could have stayed 3 more and still enjoyed ourselves. This is a special place that I will be recommending to any one who is visiting Costa Rica!

What a beautiful and nostalgic hotel…our room had our own lap pool complete with cushioned lounge chairs…happy hour was a 2 for 1 deal and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating and friendly…we swam and lounged out at the main pool…so relaxing! A free breakfast was included with our room (other breakfast items available at additional cost)..just enough to get our morning started before we headed out for the day! Pre COVID I’m sure the outside pool bar would be open which is always a plus when hanging out at the pool! Definitely on our list when we return to Costa Rica next year!
Hotel Manuel Antonio

Beautiful location, right across the street from a great beach! It's at the end of the road , just past the entrance to Manuel Antonio Park, which is 300 meters away. It has the classis old Costa Rican vibe, but is kept very clean, with gorgeous grounds. You may even catch the white-faced monkeys in the trees behind, which we saw on our last (third) day. The front desk people are awesome, especially Jenny and Ivan, who actually sought out and found the best zip lining experience in the area, and booked it for us. Restaurants (especially liked El Avión less than a km away), grocery, and souvenirs all within easy walking distance. Everything you need is right there. Would definitely stay there again!
Condiminium Villas Mymosa

We stayed here a week between Christmas and New Year's and this place was fantastic. The villa was spacious, the beds extremely comfortable, the AC worked exceptionally well, and the kitchen was well equipped. The pool was great for a dip after a long day of hiking, and we even saw both spider and white-faced monkey while sitting out! One even tried to steal some food! The breakfasts were delicious, starting with a plate of fruit, and then you have a choice of 5 different types of breakfasts. We all loved the Tico breakfast (eggs, rice & beans, plantains, sausage, and tortillas. Delicioso!) But, the best part of Villas Mymosa is the staff. Everyone from the chef, to the cleaning ladies, to Kathy the evening bartender, to Karen the morning server, German the night watchman, and Amy and Kathia the office managers, were so friendly and accommodating to our every need. I booked all our excursions through Kathia and ended up making a new friend! The Villas are located right near the bus stop from which, for less than $1, you can get to Quepos or Manuel Antonio. I highly recommend Villas Mymosa.

We stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights while visiting Manuel Antonio National Park. It is a very lovely little hotel situated on a hill and attached to a restaurant that provides free breakfast for its guests (check to make sure your room has it included, I believe some rooms did not). Things we liked - the rooms were very clean, well arranged, there was a small safe (you have to get a key from the desk), A/C (very needed - it is quite hot and humid in the area), a fairly large pool with a bar and lounge chairs (free), and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Also bonus - they have a cat! (or possibly a couple of them). Breakfast was nice, a few choices and some add-ons like bacon, ham etc. that you have to pay extra for but I thought they had enough options - typical breakfast, ham and cheese sandwich and yogurt and granola as well as coffee/tea and orange juice. Wait staff were great too. The entire building is very beautiful, there is a lush green garden all around, hammocks by the rooms outside and the furnishings were nice too. Things that could be better - NOT entirely an accessible hotel, I cannot stress this enough! They do have golf carts and will drive you up to your rooms (the rooms are up a hill as well) and I believe if you have a wheelchair, you might be able to go up the ramp to the rooms as well but don't quote me on that. The golf carts are not available 24/7 so if you cannot walk down the stairs or down the hill on the path, you might end up stuck in your room or down by the reception. The restaurant is down some stairs as well. Big tip - inspect your room when you get in! We noticed our room had some existing damage to the night stand and bed headboard and immediately reported to the manager to ensure we were not charged for existing damage (they were aware of it and sent someone up just to check but did not give us any trouble!) - take pictures when you get in and let management know if you notice anything. Overall, would recommend this hotel. Very nice, ample parking and easy to find. Walking distance to a few nice restaurants and short distance from the beaches and Manuel Antonio National Park as well as the neighbouring town of Quepos if you need groceries (note, no fridges in the rooms!).

This is my first review although I travel with Melbourne see the world who has had over 300 reviews published. Upon arrival today we were greeted by an unwelcoming team member at reception. We were asked several odd questions including would we like a key to the safe and would we like our room serviced daily. Of course we answered yes to both and were left wondering why we had even beenasked these questions. Next we were shown to our room which was not the room we had booked and paid for. Our booking confirmation clearly stated we had booked a deluxe upstairs room however we were allocated a down stairs room. After some discussion with the not so welcoming team member and being told to be quiet whilst she explained to me what had happened she did acknowledge we had indeed booked an upstairs room but as the hotel was fully booked she was unable to provide the correct room. The downstairs rooms are on the walk ways and do not offer any privacy if you wish to sit outside. In addition to this we are located next to the underground septic tanks which exude a putrid smell making it impossible to sit outside without feeling nauseous. Regrettably we are here for 3 nights and are yet to receive an apology or solution to the inappropriate room we have been allocated which I find totally unacceptable.
