The room was large and clean, with a small kitchen, but it was a self-service check-in. No one contacted me before check-in and gave me the room number and password in advance. I had to wait at the hotel door for a long time! There was only one heating outlet in the room, so it was a bit cold.

The room is relatively large, the price/performance ratio is very good, it is clean and sanitary, the kitchen facilities are complete, and the location is convenient. It is very close to bus 9. The hotel is located at the main street where supermarkets and restaurants are nearby. The room is neat and tidy, and the kitchen area is equipped with full sets of utensils and microwave. However, the toilet is a bit stinky everytime after flushing.

Definitely should have read the reviews about walking through the restaurant to get to the rooms on the 1st floor before booking, so that confused me initially. However, the restaurant is only open from 4-9pm. I only walked through a live restaurant once, which was weird. Being on the upper floors definitely would have been better. The outdoor door wouldn't open, at one point, for which we had to reach out to the property department. They arrived 40 minutes later and were able to resolve the issue. Wasn't great to stand in the cold for that long, however. Overall, the apartment-style room was clean and conveniently located inside downtown Reykjavik. Would stay again and request an upper-floor room.
