Inn at Huntingfield Creek

Lovely property with wonderful owners and staff, including three very welcoming dogs. We had a perfect weekend getaway.

Love, love, love the Inn at Huntingfield Creek. Think this was our 4th trip. We always stay for 5 - 6 days. Breakfast is always delicious & substantantial. All of our stays have been in the cottages... because I always need to spend a portion of the day working... so I need a work table to spread out paperwork. Joanne & Jim are always so accommodating and happy to provide a table for me. The swimming pool on site is also a tremendous plus! Rock Hall is a quaint town with great restaurant options for lunch & dinner... Blue Heron Oyster House, Harbor Shack, Waterman's Crab House and the Flying Decoy. Rock Hall is also fabulous as our "base of operations" for day trips to Saint Michael's, Annapolis, Chestertown & Earleville, Maryland.

This was our third stay and has become our favorite place to get away. The accommodations are excellent, the breakfasts superb, and proprietors Jim and Joanne seem more like family than inn hosts. We highly recommend this beautiful place.

Disappointed. No breakfast on 3 of the 4 days we stayed. We were given "coupons" to drive into town and get an "build your own" egg sandwich at a coffee joint owned by the innkeeper. When I asked about this, innkeeper Jim said it was an "issue of energy" (too tired to do what he's been paid to do?) Pesticides sprayed around guest cottages. The inn's grounds are fields that the innkeeper leases to a local farmer. These fields are next to the guest cottages. On the second morning of our stay, the farmer drove a truck up and down, spraying pesticide over the fields. The pesticide was still in the air when we left. When I expressed concern, innkeeper Jim shrugged and said these are farmlands. The main house is lovely. Little touches like reusable water bottles, fresh baked cookies are nice. The cottage was clean, bathroom is nice, furnishings are basic. We used the pool once (before the pesticide was sprayed) and it was nice. We did not use housekeeping. Sadly, we were ready to leave at the end of our stay. There aren't a lot of upscale lodging choices in this region. More competition would be a good thing for this inn.

PERFECT! This will always be one of my most favorite places! Jim, Joanne, Miranda, and Jordon have always been so friendly and welcoming! This is the most spacious and quiet place to stay compared to other accommodations in the RH area. I give it 5/5.

We spent two relaxing nights at the lovely Inn. Our stand-alone cottage, the Zen, was clean, spacious and comfortable though slightly dated. The owners and their dogs are very friendly. We enjoyed interesting conversations with other guests during breakfast. Our bed was very comfortable, and we appreciated the deluxe robes. The warm cookies in the afternoon were a wonderful treat too. One note about the Zen room. A big jetted tub is visible from the bedroom as well as the sitting room (through the 2-way fireplace). So if you would like a little more privacy while soaking in a tub, this might not be the best room to select. We booked 1-hour deep tissue massages during our stay. The massages are done in your room. My husband and I enjoyed our massages immensely. The Inn has 3 bikes and 4 kayaks, I believe During this short getaway, we visited charming Chestertown, cute little Rock Hall (where I enjoyed getting ice cream during an intense heat wave) and the Eastern Neck Wildlife Refuge. If the weather had not been so hot, we would have enjoyed cycling around the area.

Beautiful inn, staff is friendly, beautiful location and friendly dogs but since we were there in the off season the town Rock hall wasn’t very interesting

Beautiful landscape, serene surroundings, wonderful hosts, this is a place I will come back to. Our cottage was lovely, clean, comfortable and spacious. Our homemade breakfasts were delicious and you enjoyed that while talking with others who were also staying at the Inn. You could take a short walk and be at their pier of the bay and listen to the birds or sit there and enjoy the stillness and quiet. There are two other items that are a part of the Inn's charms...their three lovable dogs that made my stay one of the best times away I have had in a long time, and their homemade chocolate chip cookies for an afternoon snack. I would highly recommend the Inn for a getaway you would not soon forget.

The pillows are the fluffiest ever! The place, owners, dogs, views, breakfasts-all terrific! Small towns like Rock Hall close to premises and fun to stroll around and get a bite to eat. Our room was charming, the beds comfortable. The Inn has a beautiful piano on which I played.
