It could have gone better but thanks to Trip.com we solved various problems.

Super Central. It is a 10 minute walk from the Colosseum. The room is spacious and clean. We only had problems with the shower as it did not stay fixed on the support. The receptionists are sometimes a little serious but very good people. You have to pay extra to use the air conditioning. Recommended since in price / value it is very good.

Fair hotel for the price paid, but we stayed on the 4th floor and it was terrible to climb stairs, we only managed to use the elevator once. Another issue is that we cannot keep the keys when we leave, and one piece of information that should be clear is the charge of 20 euros per night to use the air conditioning. The bathroom stall has to go in from the side, as it is very small. The breakfast is good, but it is in a cafe next door. The location is close to the coliseum, about 900 meters downhill, but at night the neighborhood seems to be a bit dangerous.

I went to this hotel during a trip with my Italian class as part of a 4-day college outing. The hotel is quite shabby smelling of cold cigarettes at the reception. We can observe water infiltration in the walls.... A hot shower is not always guaranteed. the walls don't isolate anything, you can hear everything (I was right next to reception). On the other hand, the beds are generally comfortable and the hotel is in Rome itself, right next to the Colosseum. The rooms of 5 are relatively large!

Would never recommend this hotel to anyone! Mold, bad service and dirt Worst accommodation I have ever stayed at! Stayed there for half a week and not once in that week was the room cleaned more than a superficial vacuuming. The room was dirty and dusty. The bathroom was both old and very moldy! To be able to use AC in the room, you had to pay several hundred extra. The building is also old and very poorly insulated so you hear EVERYTHING! Both from the rooms next door but mainly from the street right outside the window. The staff were rude and made fun of our English thinking that they themselves could barely speak any English. They also demanded that you always leave the room key at the reception every time you leave the hotel. Advises all people who consider booking a room at hotel oriente. No matter how cheap and centrally located hotel is, it is ABSOLUTELY NOT worth it! MOLD, DIRT, and RUDE STAFF that's what you get when you book hotel oriente!
