Had a suite booked for 2 nights, but everything felt bad already when we reached the street the hotel was. The garagefor parking was extremely small. The older guy did not speak english (even tho the website says, the staff is multilingual). The reception was a very small room with bad smell and the guy searched for the keys to the room quite long. He showed us the room, but it seemed he checked it the way if there is already someone in the room or not. The suite room was very small and dark, window didn’t open. The room smelled so bad of smoking (all the curtains and linen smelled), there were burn marks everywhere in the room. Walls were very thin, you could hear everything in other rooms. The toilet seat was broken. The WiFi didn’t work at all. We stayed only half an hour, just to find another hotel in the city centre. As this “hotel” is non-refundable then we lost the money, but at least got the better place to be and enjoy Rome.

Lovely place to stay, the location was perfect as it was close to the train station. For the price this far exceeded my expectations and the staff are very helpful therefore I would 100% recommend this place.

Clean, comfortable and excellent room because two steps from the Tuscolana station and the metro stop Ponte Lungo. The entrance to the outside door, as well as to the indoor and to the door of the room is without keys, because it is accessed by personal codes that are sent privately on the mobile.

The room is bright, well-equipped, clean and tidy. I managed to check in despite my poor English. The breakfast was also very good and rich in content. Great value for money. After staying for four nights, I could have given it a good review. However, the room is next to the restaurant, separated by a door. At seven o'clock in the morning, there was a ding-ding-dong-dong sound. The hotel promised to change rooms, but I left early and came back late and didn't want to bother. The problem is that the hotel should inform the guest in advance about the noise-affected room, otherwise, even if the room is changed, it will be suspected of being artificially caused by the hotel. It really doesn't match the hotel's reputation. Just a heads up for everyone.

Hotel Tuscolana is a wonderful pick if visiting Rome. My sisters and I were able to stay in a room with 3 twin beds (rare in Europe) and the accommodations were spacious for Europe as well. Even the bathroom was large and even had a window. The staff of the Hotel Tuscolana were excellent as well, very friendly, and helpful in all things needed. Whether it was offering refreshments, breakfast, beer, coffee, help with directions, dinner reservations, event tickets- they helped! We are a needy group, and the hotel staff was more than accommodating to us in every regard. The breakfast assortment was also terrific. The fresh bakery items and homemade fruit salad and yogurt were supreme! I loved that the fruit salad had no melon!! I am sure the fair varies, but I would expect all that they make is wonderful and fresh. Additionally, the hotel is steps away from a terrific restaurant (I forgot the name, but the restaurant had the BEST gnocchi I have ever had in my life!!), public transit, and a grocery store. Within a short walk, there is a beautiful church, a gym, coffee shops, and various boutiques.

In Tuscolana, near the Metro stop, this B&B is located at the top floors of a stable in Via Opita Oppio. The reception is welcomed as hotel with very friendly and available staff. A very comfortable and comfortable chairs are covered with a veranda, which is close to the reception. The room was quite small and the bathroom was free of bidet, but the shower box was perfect with a wonderful shower jet, which was quite difficult to find in the B&B, especially in cheap people like the City Guest House. In addition to the excellent location, this hotel offers a great price-quality ratio. A very good restaurant nearby also allows a good level restaurant as if it was the same hotel.

Lovely, family-run hotel. Very friendly and warm. Excellent location, bus 85 which is a very short walk from the hotel takes you to central Rome. There are also 2 Metro stations within a reasonable walking distance. The family makes you feel welcome, a very lovely, elderly lady keeps everything very clean and tidy. Things to note, the toilet and shower are not in the room, they are private to you but you need to walk through the communal hall (which you share with the other 2 rooms, the hall isn't big); the room doesn't have a kettle. A small inconvenience for a great location and reasonable price. I would stay there again.

This time there was a little episode, the plane was late, we were late, but the front desk quickly adjusted the room for us, and gave us a cool summer water while we waited. The people in the hotel are very friendly, especially handsome guys, very human, and also help us carry the suitcase. The hotel’s breakfast was eaten in the back garden, a touch of green, and the mood was good.
