The hotel is old and in need of renovation and investment. It doesn't reach four stars in any way. The service depends on the staff that assists you. Some few are very helpful, others the opposite. The logic of some things is not understood, for example, the indoor pool is open on Fridays and Saturdays until 8 p.m., the rest of the weekdays it closes at 6 p.m. Unfortunately it was the only pleasant place since they were windy days and you couldn't go to the beach. When I asked why they wouldn't have it every day until 8pm, no one could give me a reason. I filed a formal complaint but no one answered me, and it was probably because they don't care. Most of the staff are temporary staff and it shows. You are not going to eat quality products either. The attention there is not good either. The rooms are noisy and with the idea that the tourist must be happy and entertained, the music or whatever show is played at high volume until after 12 at night, the rooms that face the pool have to suffer that lack of consideration. For the locals it will be acceptable, but obviously it is not for everyone who stays there. It is not a cheap hotel, and if they do not improve all aspects of service provision and facilities, they will lose customers until they disappear.

We arrived on Monday and it was raining at sea, but we could park at the door. It is easy to park next to the hotel, at least in May, which is when we went, there was always a place before or behind the hotel entrance, which is thankful if you have to carry several bags, etc ... We arrived before 14:00, the time to which check-in is supposed to be made, but we were allowed to enter the room with more than an hour in advance. The room was larger than expected, with kitchen and everything. The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable. The hotel is a very good hotel, and it is a good hotel for you to have a good hotel. The hotel's pool is very cool, with a bathroom and a child area and a quite large area for adults. It also has a pool air-conditioned with quite hot water that, although it is not a wonder, gives the slope quite well if you are taking fresher days like us. The hotel itself is beautiful, it is quite clean and the attention is very pleasant. Because also put a sleeve in the room, the beds are horrible. I think they made discounts in the fabric of the towels and put towels in the beds too. It is a quiet place and the staff were luxurious, always friendly and smiles. In addition, while in the reservation they said check-out is at 10 a.m., in the hotel they told us they really leave until 12:00, so they gave us more calm to prepare things. Surely in a place I recommend and where I will return if I have the opportunity.

Not a long flight from Manchester. Consider private transfers/taxi as this hotel always seems to be near last dropoff. Good location next to the sea & extensive promenade. Shops, bars & eateries nearby. Reception mirror images the staff who are all excellent, friendly and/or efficient. Communal Areas generally clean & tidy Room good, typical Spanish size, huge beds, cleaned every day. Minor room faults promptly fixed. Non sea view ok looking inland Plenty of parasols in pool area, regularly monitored by socorrista. Note pool not heated. Pool towels available foc with refundable deposit. Bars well serviced, dealt with our abysmal spanish very well; note it is a spanish holiday location. Restaurant has its very busy times especially at weekends; was ably managed by staff. Reasonable varied selection of food, some excellent, suited us two elderlies and wine more than acceptable; we were All Incl. Dining plates need to be warmed though. Late checkout booked up however changing room with shower & luggage room available.

Hotel definitely not a 4 star ! Who grades these hotels. !! Amenities basic - outside pool area nice and quiet and clean. No tea and coffee making facilities in room - very disappointing. Our stay did not include food although you could pay as you go. 12 euros each for buffet breakfast - quite expensive. We found a traditional cafe a few minutes walk away which we would walk to every morning for our coffee and tostadas “Cafetería Luna” . Definitely worth a visit. Lovely family run cafe. Strange decor in hotel - very tired looking and requires refurbishment. The staff friendly. Lack of atmosphere. We stayed on the third floor overlooking the beautiful villas and we could see the sea in the distance. Definitely opt for a room with the villa / sea in the distance view as there are building works the other side (building apartments). It was not noisy though. 10/15 minute walk to the beach and restaurants. We did enjoy our holiday and the hotel was rather quaint but we did enjoy our stay overall. If you want quiet and one small pool and a bar that opens at 11.00 am until 11.00 pm and no tea and coffee facilities in your room then this is the hotel for youx. Roquetas de Mar is not too touristy and we definitely would return to the area but stay in a different hotel.

POSITIVES The reception staff were friendly and welcoming and as we arrived a little early they directed us to the poolside bar to wait whilst the room was prepared. Once ready, we discovered that the room was clean and well-maintained with powerful aircon and comfy beds. The bathroom contained lots of towels and a range of free toiletries. The kitchen had a working fridge and microwave and the balcony had a terrific view of the pool and beach. The poolside bar serves a small portion of free tapas when you order a round of drinks. The price of 1 large beer or a tinto de verano with 3 soft drinks was less than £8 which is incredible. The tapas was tasty as well. There are a range of shops, cafes and bars around the hotel and beach access is literally across the path at the rear of the hotel. The pool area was clean and well-maintained and the water slide was good fun for the children. You never had to fight to get sun loungers as there was plenty of space. The restaurant (we had breakfast and evening meal included) served a wide range of foods, and the breakfast includes pancakes, cereals, continental style and pastries along with unlimited hot drinks. It was clean and the service was friendly and prompt. LESS POSITIVE This hotel is a destination for Spanish people to go on holiday, so most of what is in place does not cater to those looking for a Spanish holiday ‘for Brits’. This isn’t as much a problem for me as I love Spanish culture, but many of the staff did not speak English and the Animacion team provided all their entertainment in Spanish which might leave British children a little left out, although ours were able to join in with party dances and the late night pool party. The evening meals in the restaurant were predominantly local dishes geared heavily to seafood and the like. I’ll eat anything but my wife is a fussy eater and if you or your family like to eat nuggets and roast dinners you will not find that available here. My children found there was always one thing they would eat but weren’t spoilt for choice. The room decor is a little dated but who really cares when it’s just a base and you should be out at the beach or by the pool anyway! NEGATIVE The poolside bar does not provide any kind of snack provision such as chips and sandwiches as the tapas and drinks are served from a high end restaurant. This was disappointing as we like to enjoy a beer and some chips by the pool for our lunch. The language barrier with our waitress meant we’d asked for a menu which there was no point receiving as we couldn’t order food to be delivered poolside anyway, but she wasn’t really able to communicate this with us and we sat their waiting for an order we never could have had. But again, we should be learning to speak Spanish better! I’m not entirely sure LoveHolidays researched whether this hotel is suitable for Brits wanting the ‘Brits abroad’ experience so if you want that you’re best sticking to Salou or Benidorm. My family and I
