This has to be the worst hotel experience I’ve had. On the second day of my three-day stay, I went out the whole day, from 8 am to 7:30 pm. When I got back, I found the bathroom window fell off. I called the manager up immediately and he took the broken piece of window away, saying it’s probably due to the wind. But when I checked out, he charged me for the window damage, saying that because no one was in my room on that day, it was my fault. I was shocked. He knew full well and acknowledged that I wasn’t in the room when the window fell off. So I asked why on earth would he blame me for something that happened in my absence and likely related to the their own poor construction and maintenance? Then he made up some stories about hearing a loud noise when I went out for breakfast, which are lies that don’t even make sense. I didn’t have time to argue because I had to catch a flight. So yes, they made the GUEST PAY FOR THEIR POOR MAINTENANCE which leads to an UNSAFE ENVIRONMENT.
