Ommaroo Hotel

Fantastic Ommaroo! Great room with balcony (number 74!); super clean and wonderful view over the beach and lido. Easy walking distance into the centre of St Helier or, a quick bus ride from right outside the hotel. Had a great paddle in the sea!

We had a fantastic 4 night stay in a family room, double and single bed for our 4 yr old. The hotel is clean, well equipped and staff incredibly helpful and friendly. The buffet breakfast was excellent and had everything you might want. With a child we really appreciated it being help yourself to everything including hot drinks and hot food so no waiting for service. We only ate dinner in the hotel on Friday feast night (4 course buffet including a carvery, kids under 12 free). What an amazing buffet (the sea food platter - wow!) and there was live music in the bar afterwards. Would definitely recommend. The outside pool is a great addition and our daughter loved it, and with the beach being just outside it had everything we needed to keep her entertained. Buses are really easy and we did trips to St Aubin (25 mins with a transfer at St Helier bus station - young kids will love the splash pad in Coronation park), St Brelade’s (particularly beautiful beach about 40 mins with a transfer) and Mount Orgueil Castle (25 mins). Just a heads up for those with young kids that dinner in the hotel is only from 6.30pm but there are plenty of restaurants and pubs near by if you need an earlier dinner time. (Recommend Caffé Ristorante Italia on La Colomberie for good price and portion Italian food). Overall a wonderful stay and we hope to be back!

A lovely hotel opposite the Havre des Pas beach. Attentive and helpful staff for who nothing was too much to ask. The breakfast buffet caters for both cooked and continental and is regularly replenished. The food in the evening was equally impressive; we can recommend the sweet potato tagine and the chicken schnitzel!

Such a lovely stay. One of the friendliest hotels I have ever been to. All the staff genuinely helpful and seemed like they loved working there. Charles, Shelia, John and Shane were superstars. Rooms were comfortable and breakfast was fresh and lots of variety.

This is a lovely hotel tucked to the East of St. Helier. The staff are most welcoming & friendly & go out of their way to make the stay enjoyable. The breakfast was 10 out of 10 as previous reviews I'd read had said. The room I had was a single & quite adequate. The only downside was the speed of the WiFi. It was OK but not up to several other hotels I've stayed in lately.

Great hotel to stay in very clean and tidy , the breakfast was amazing and Sunday roast delicious. The staff were all very friendly and helpful will definitely stay there again ! Would definitely recommend the hotel to friends it’s perfect in it’s location close to st Helier shops and restaurants

Stayed last year and was impressed but this year was even better. The staff are ultra friendly and so very helpful. We even had the same room as last year and it wasn’t requested! The breakfasts are superb couldn’t ask for one better even on our last day we had to leave at 750 am but they provided a full English breakfast in plenty of time for us. We only had an evening meal on our last night - steak - cooked to perfection - we couldn’t manage it all! Excellent hotel and excellent staff. Will stay here when we come back again.

Fab weekend with the girls, hotel was great, lovely views fabulous staff so friendly helpful and accommodating, nothing to much trouble! The rooms were a good size, breakfast was great , very easy to get to on the buses , we will be back for sure! Thanks
