Norfolk Hotel

We stayed at the Norfolk Hotel for a week on a package holiday, the hotel was clean, the staff and service were excellent as was the food, the room was very comfortable and adequate. The hotel is very close to the Howard Davis park and only a few minutes walk to the shopping centre in St Hellier All in All an excellent week

We’ve just come back from a week in this hotel. How it is only classed a 2 star I do not know. The welcome is good. Rooms are spacious, clean and very practical. The hotel is clean. The dining service is good and food basic but excellent, well served, well cooked and good portion size. The pool area is pleasant but the water is very cold, refreshing though. As for the general service - being quite short I was unable to reach the hanging rail in our wardrobe. I went to reception to laughingly ask for help when the manager after checking it out did no more than come straight to our room, remove the rail and lower it to comfortable height for me - NOW that is service

Excellent hotel, very clean, lovely friendly staff and food was superb. The choice of breakfast was wonderful and our waitress could not do enough for us - real personal service. Brian on the desk was so obliging too. One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Great location easy to get around by bus. Well worth a. visit.

I think a lot of the reviews are correct. When you first walk in you think it's a bit dated but it's so immaculately clean, the staff are so lovely, attentive and even funny that you soon don't notice the decor. This hotel has everything you need, clean rooms, bar, quiet area, outside area. It's very central to shops and bus station in St Helier. Buses are cheap and for us the best way to get around the island. I would recommend the round the Island tour at the beginning of your holiday to get your barings. Eeeeee, our driver/guide was amazing, carnt remember his name but he was from Madera. He was clear, very clear infact, so knowledgeable, he talked the whole of the day, we learnt such alot. I want to give a special mention to our waitress Tila, she is super efficient and a lovely person. The only thing I think would have enhanced our stay was a more varied menu, not keen on "dinners " every day. However you only get what you pay for and this holiday was very reasonable. The Norfolk is a well positioned hotel...a few minutes walk from a beautiful park....10 minutes to town and about the same to the beach. It is a lovely clean hotel...room was a good size...bathroom had both a bath and over bath shower with fabulous water pressure and plenty of hot water. There was a choice of a cooked or continental breakfast and the evening meal offered choices .Entertainment most evenings. There is an outdoor pool...however this is not heated, but ample sun loungers. All the staff were very friendly...a big shout out to our Waitress Tila who looked after us so well, couldn't have done enough to make sure every meal was a pleasant experience..and to the Waiter Jil who was always so happy...all in all we had a very pleasant stay...no complaints here .

Felt at home from the minute I arrived. Welcoming and extremely helpful staff. Hotel very clean. Single room was small but very comfortable and had everything I needed including a very welcome fan as it was a hot week. The food I found to be lovely and plentiful. Good hearty breakfast and 3 course evening meal always hot and efficient service from Isaac and Bryan. Hotel pool area is lovely with plenty of loungers. Decent bar with reasonably priced drinks and evening entertainment. Hotel in a great location for Howard Davis Park, Beach access and 10 mins walk into town centre. Bus stop right outside Hotel. Been several times to Jersey and its not a cheap place to stay but this hotel is definitely excellent value for money and I look forward to the time I can return. The other guests I spoke to were very happy there. Never heard a single gripe and many were frequent guests at the Norfolk. You can book the Norfolk Hotel with confidence. Thanks for a great week.

my wife and I spent a week in The Norfolk Hotel and dont regret a minute of it. Our room was a good size, beds very comfortable and ample hot water. Hotel entertainment was not the greatest but served its purpose to keep us partially occupied in evening. as for the food on offer there was a different menu each evening and portions were more than ample , the staff in hotel were very welcoming and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. the location of the hotel is good , . Though the bus station in Liberation Square is only a 10 minute walk from the hotel there is a bus stop at front of the hotel. From the bus station you can get to any part of the island for just over £2 a journey. And i have got to mention a member of staff in the dining room. Gil (apologies if ive spelt your name wrong) was our waiter throughout our stay and we cant praise him enough. Always had a smile on his face, was attentive and if i'm honest he is as good a waiter as ive experienced in my many years. Well done Gil !!!! Lastly, we are thinking about returning to Jersey next year and rest assured it'll be the Norfolk we return too. Well done to all at the Norfolk.

Excellent hotel first class service and staff. From the time we booked in till we booked out the staff where friendly and very helpful. The food was first class and we still can't see why it is on classed as a 2**. The pol area is clean and tidy and you can obtain the towels from the reception.
