We were in the area to see a couple of shows at the festival. Usually we stay in Stratford, but thought we'd try something different and visit St. Mary's. We're so glad we did. The room in the terrace building was very comfortable with everything we needed, including a charging station for our car! Each staff member we interacted with was friendly and helpful. The main building and the grounds were stunning - we enjoyed a lovely walk in the morning followed by fresh coffee on the terrace. We will definitely return - highly recommend!

We have eaten here a number of times when visiting nearby Stratford for the theater. This time our meal was very nice, but we were the only people in this pretty restaurant on the Thursday evening in June when we visited. I felt it was a little sad to see this place not well frequented. We were told that occasionally it is the site for weddings or meetings however.

Such a beautiful property! The rooms are cozy and comfortable. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. We stayed there instead of Straford to attend the an evening show at the festival theatre and we are so glad we did. So much quieter, and they have a lovely dining room with a gorgeous back patio to sit on. Highly recommend!

Lovely character hotel. Great bed! Very quiet and they have goats and sheep on the grounds. There is a lovely walk around the river. I left a pair of shoes that I was throwing away. They phoned me to make sure I hadn’t accidentally left them. Would definitely return!

Many years ago we stayed at the Westover inn to celebrate an anniversary. Great memories - however this stay was very disappointing. Our room was in the Terrace. I understood that the room would be small - that wasn’t a concern. However the description and photos on the web site are far more attractive than our room. It seemed clean enough. However the mattress is in serious need of replacement - it was a queen that felt like a hammock. The window covers are basic blinds, the carpet is worn, the walls are a caramel beige colour- furniture and mouldings are gouged - all in all very tired and in need of rejuvenation - both the room and this particular property.

This inn was run down and had the bare essentials. Our room looked nothing like the pictures and was a dingy purple colour. The curtains had holes in them and the floor was painted unfinished plank boards with an area rug. It gets a one star for cleanliness. I did not eat at the restaurant so I cannot comment.

St. Mary downtown is pretty. To stay there for a two day get away from the city, the Westover Inn has a lot to offer. Foremost is the beautiful grounds. The cuisine offered is also very nice. As for the room we stayed, it was rather austere. The AC unit was regrettably noisy like a freight train at full speed. There was no drapery only economical, though functional , pull down plastic blinds. Due to the emptiness of the room, sound proofing is mediocre. We hope the Inn will try a little harder to meet 21st century expectations of the sophisticated traveller.

I rarely give bad reviews, but I was so disappointed by my stay here. The only reason I gave it one star was for its cleanliness. The photos on the website look NOTHING like the actual rooms. They are bare, sterile boxes with brown walls. No cosiness like they advertize. Cheap, cold flooring and the bare minimum of amenities. The tv is the smallest Ive ever seen in a hotel and has 2 converters that took all night to figure out. Next time I visit the area Ill definitely be looking to stay at a chain hotel in Stratford. At least I get what is promised.
