We stayed here for a national competition since this is one of the Hotels that was sanctioned by the organizers. The lack of service was just apparent from checkin all the way to everyday interaction. When we checked-in, I already felt the lack of appreciation for their guests as I never felt welcome from the get go. I was not acknowledge about being an IHG rewards member and welcomed at the Hotel. I must add though that when buying things in their marketplace, the interaction of charging our things with the front desk was fast and seamless so that is a positive. Also leading to our stay, I did have phone interaction with some of their staff for my reservation and they have been very helpful and accommodating so was surprised with my current experience here. There are no safebox to store some of your valuables and when I asked the front desk I was just told they have none in a lazy way without effort of providing alternatives or if they can help in any other way. Our first day, they locked breakfast area right at 9:30 sharp without letting the people already eating that they are closing. When we inquired with one of the staff, they replied in a kind of a rude way that ”when its close, its closed”. I could understand the policy but they would not even hear about suggestion of simply announcing that they are closing the breakfast area for last call so people could have a chance to get their last servings if needed. They also literally, close off the breakfast area while people are still eating almost like telling everyone to get out. I think this shows lack of service and professionalism with no empathy to their guests. it does look like they treat their guests as like burglars to close/lock off their breakfast area. For rooms, the area is a little bit smaller compared to some area hotels but typical of a Holiday Inn property so no complains there. Our rooms did not have issue(so far fingers crossed) but a lot of people in our group had room issues. Some have their locks not working after checkins and they have to work on fixing them and someone from our group was given a room that was still occupied. They have 2 gyms in different floors but smaller compared to other gyms from different hotels. They have a sauna and a pool so another positive. I am still checked in and staying for 5 more days so will update the review later but If not for our team choosing to stay on this Hotel I would have checked out and moved to Hilton across the street where we have a very positive experience a few years ago with the same competition.

Specically booked a suite at this hotel for 3 nights to ensure that we had a view from an upper floor. Also website stated that dinners & breakfasts were available at the adjacent restaurant. After checking in we soon realised that the restaurant appeared to be closed. Upon asking at reception this was confirmed - so why had they not sent an email to warn of this situation?! When querying this with reception staff, one member in particular was very curt in her response. We had to search in very high temperatures to find suitable restaurants although the free light rail system did reduce the walking distance.

The hotel is very old, the bedding is very old, it feels like it will break if washed again, and it is not very clean. If there is still a choice, I don't recommend it. There is free parking at the hotel entrance. There is a McDonald's next door. I don't know if it is due to renovation during my stay, only the entrance for car ordering is open. There are many homeless nearby. If you go out late at night, it is best to carry a little cash with you in case of emergency.

I recently stayed at this Sheraton Hotel and was totally disappointed with my experience. The fact that I used my suite upgrade being a Titanium Elite Bonvoy even made it worse. I have stayed in a number of Sheraton Hotels and by far, this is the worst of them all. First of all, the reception people were not so customer friendly. We came in around 2:20 p.m. thinking that our room will be ready by then. The front desk clerk said that please come back in about 45 minutes as the room is being worked on. We came back an hour later and to my surprise, the room was still not ready and that it will take another 30 minutes or so to be ready. After patiently waiting around, when we finally get to our Suite, it was not at par with Sheraton or Marriott standards. It looked like the remodeling was halted 3/4 of the way as it can be seen with the toilet bowl looking so badly done. Furniture were dusty. The room look so ancient. Breakfast was also bad as there was a human hair with the bacon that was being served. A few of the patrons saw the hair and told the kitchen and finally took away the pan of bacon and replaced it with a new one.

Real good hotel during convention period. Room is spacious and clean. Essential places like shopping mall, restaurant especially Korean foods and church etc are closed to this hotel. I am very much satisfied except breakfast which is too high compared to simple buffet foods.

This was the best hotel on our trip. We felt very welcome and enjoyed all of the interactions with the employees. There are great restaurants in the area, the front desk made some great recommendations. This hotel’s very clean. The breakfast was great. They have pumpkin waffles that were fabulous. I had read a review that said they didn’t feel safe, however that was not our experience- we felt safe in the area. There are homeless folks in the area but we never felt unsafe. Great place!

The location is very convenient, especially close to the airport. It is also very convenient to eat next to it. The opposite is the convenience store and the gas station. The facilities are a bit old, but it is still relatively clean, and the equipment inside is quite complete.

We’re only a couple days into our stay and I’m frustrated and disappointed. The frustration started with the check in process. We arrived early and knew a room may not be available. We were told we would receive a text message as soon as one was cleaned and ready. We sat in the lobby adjacent, just 20 feet away from the desk waiting. We observe several people leaving the counter with room keys in hand. Some friends of ours checked in while we were sitting in the lobby and were given a room with a $25 early check in fee. That was never offered to us. I approached the desk to inquire why we hadn’t received a text message if a room became available and why people arriving after us were given rooms. No good answer BUT good news they have a room. I inquire about the microwave I had reserved weeks prior. Oh those are all spoken for sorry. Get to our room, it only has 1 bed I called down to the desk and was asked if I had touched anything in the room upon entering. I was asked to return to the front desk to get my new room keys. Upon entering our room we notice it’s rather warm. Fiddle with the thermostat unit which is set to 65 and there’s no difference in the fan speed between high medium and low. Next day call the front desk to request AC service and fresh towels. Nothing. Called again. Nothing. Next morning, called again and received towels. Supposedly the air was fixed while we were out for the day, but nothing has changed in regards to comfort. The pillows are terrible and the beds are on the soft side. The hotel is ready for some upgrades as the carpet is worn and dirty throughout the hallways. The housekeeping staff was friendly and helpful, oh and one housekeeper was able to find me a microwave that the front desk staff insisted was not available. Hmmm

I had to book this room last minute to deal with a family emergency in the city. The photos looked decent and reviews said it was clean and the price was great. When we arrived late in the evening, the guy behind the desk was apathetic, and actually rather rude. The stairwell up to the third floor was the beginning of my feelings that this may have been a mistake. Between the back alley feel and the phallus shaped artwork on the windows were pretty demoralizing. The cart full of junk outside the door of the room next to us didn't help. Inside the room, I immediately noticed that the walls were scuffed all over and that you could see where light fixtures had been changed. The carpet had stains and was pretty worn. MY wife found some long black hair on the towels in the bathroom, and all they supplied were a pair of bath towels. When she asked the gentleman in the lobby for replacements, he provided a single towel, forcing her to ask for another, and then a hand towel and washcloth. He was pretty rude about the whole thing. Our room had a window facing West Temple, and it's only a single pane so the road noise was significant when compared to a room in other places. There was a lack of outlets that were easily accessible next to the bed, so if you travel with a CPAP, be ready to mobe the bed to plug in. The bed was clean, and the Tempurpedic mattress was nice, but the box spring had obviously been victim to a cat that decided to sharpen its claws. After an OK night's sleep, we took morning showers. In the shower, it looks like the tile had been painted over, and the paint was peeling badly. The worst part of the room in my book is in the shower. The showerhead provided a mere dribble and was simply the most disappointing shower I've ever had in my life. It's a shame, because this property, has some real potential to be a really cool place, so I hope the owners can take this review as constructive criticism and make some improvements.

The lady at the front desk helped me find the membership number for a long time. This is my second booking in a week. I used it last time. This time, she didn’t find the number and didn’t give breakfast directly. I think she should carefully check the previous order. Expected waste It is better to find the order on the computer than to find out the previous order. She is directly giving breakfast tickets to customers other than Asians. This will vary from person to person. If the front desk is a black and fat girl, it is estimated that your breakfast is gone.

LLaoguobaThis one in Salt Lake City, the room was fine. Meet expectations. Breakfast is also quite satisfactory. Only disappointment and upset was that I left the next day and the $198 deposit was never cancelled. Yes, it has been 11 days. I called the front desk on 7.16, and the female staff replied about 4 working days. As a result, looking at it today, all Marriott's Springhills have not been cancelled. But what stands out is that there is a $20 deposit for other Springhills suites. This 198, why? Salt Lake City expensive? Aren't you worried that such an inefficient cancellation of the deposit will affect your guests' next itinerary? Not everyone has a $30,000 credit card limit and can ignore your slow refunds. Regarding this hotel in Salt Lake City, it has bad reviews. It is recommended not to go if you are concerned about the speed of returning the 198 deposit.

GGuest UserI chose this motel because I had a very early flight out of SLC airport and my return flight a few days later was arriving very late. Since I live a couple hundred miles from the airport I booked a stay on both ends of my trip. My spouse and I are Best Western Rewards members and usually stay at Best Westerns when we travel; but for this trip, I was solo. Checking in, I was given a lot of grief because the reservation was made in my husband’s name (even tho I made the reservation). I even had the confirmation number. The front desk clerk finally agreed to let me stay after a lot of persuasion on my part. My husband and I have the last name, btw. When I returned and tried to check in a few days later, I was told I did not have a reservation. Once again, I did have a confirmation number and the name of the person who had made the reservation for me. The desk clerk told me my reservation had been cancelled by some person whose name I didn’t recognize . I’m clueless why they would let a stranger cancel someone else’s reservation. After a lot of argument the clerk finally agreed to get me a room. But of course it was $40 more than my original room. Even though the rooms were comfy and clean, you can bet I will never stay at this motel again. The clerks are rude and argumentative and have absolutely no desire to help you. The reason for 2 stars instead of 1 is because the room was decent.

GGuest UserThis is the first time I stayed here and I'll be back. It's right next to the Salt Palace convention center which makes it incredibly convenient. It's reasonably priced and each room has some great kitchen features in it. Also, breakfast is included. There are several great restaurants within easy walking distance. The staff here is fantastic as well. I was hoping to get a muffin before they cleared breakfast, but I just missed it and the staff brought the bread tray back out for me to select from. Genni & William are great and very helpful. Genni waited with me until my Uber came to make sure I got in and got on my way to the airport okay. This is above and beyond what I've seen at other hotels in the area. Having kitchen utensils/items in the room was great for when I ended up staying in the room more than expected due to a tooth issue. I could easily heat up food and having a dishwasher meant I didn't have to do a lot with the dishes. If I was staying in Salt Lake longer, I'd definitely choose here because I could use the kitchen area to make sure I ate decent food. The only thing I wish is that they had a larger selection in their Marketplace area. Overall a great place to stay.

GGuest UserMy husband and I stayed at this hotel on our way to a wedding in Florida. We booked stays at several Four Points along the way. He’s a pilot and is usually the one to write reviews (he stays in a lot of hotels). In this case I was so upset with our experience I had to write one of my own. On our return trip (we live in Boise) we arrived at the Salt Lake airport and called the hotel multiple times trying to book shuttle ride back. It took about 6calls to finally get the front desk to answer. We brushed it off just figuring they were extra busy. He put us on hold multiple times but never got back to the line. Eventually he picked up and we got the shuttle booked. When we hadn’t seen it in about a half hour we tried calling the hotel back. The front desk agent kept putting us on hold again…when we had called back several times he started picking up the handset and hanging up on us. We booked a Lyft but, at the hour and twenty minute point the shuttle arrived so we got on with a Delta flight attendant and two other people. The shuttle had clearly been smoked in recently. All five of the passengers talked about that and mentioned it to the driver who told us he does smoke but that he had sprayed bug spray in the van because of mosquitos so the smell must have been that. We won’t ever stay at this location again. We are titanium elite members with Marriott so we are familiar with their properties and know that this experience was extremely out of the ordinary. When we arrived at the hotel, we did confront the desk person, Alex, and he flippantly informed us that he had put us on hold and hung up on us because he was instructed that the people at the desk had priority over phone calls. Funny thing is, the last call we made to him was when were in the hotel parking lot… we watched him pick up the phone and he said “please hold.” There wasn’t anyone at the desk. Last thing…their hot tub is out of order. So if that’s important to you, call before you book to see if it’s open. This was the evening of 10/9/22.

Ggodgod111This room is still clean. I live on the second floor. There is a staff meeting room next to the room. Some people started talking at 7:00 in the morning. There is a door in the room that leads to the conference room. The room is not soundproof, so foreigners Loudly laughing and listening very clearly, the size of the room is as shown in the picture, it is ok to live alone, and the two people lived a little. The bed in the room is very soft, and the individual does not like the soft bed. There is a feeling of sinking...

GGuest UserFirst time staying at a Radisson Hotel, and we enjoyed it. The location was perfect, it was near the LDS conference building and many more places we were looking forward to visit. The only down fall was that there wasn’t many restaurants near by. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The view from our room was perfect. The is a restaurant on the first level of the hotel by the front desk, we had lunch there. I ordered a Cheeseburger and it was super good! GGuest UserI had a stay Feb 5-6, 2023 for a ground floor room w/ a single bed because I'm 100% handicapped from my military service during Vietnam. I called Microtel twice on 2/1 & again on 2/4, to confirm that I had a 1 bed ground floor rm. Both times the clerks assured me that it was in their system. I showed up Feb 5th around 3:30pm, & was told by the rude female desk clerk that there's no ground floor rooms available. I told her that I had called twice on different days & was assured that the notes were in the system. She finally checked again & put me in a ground floor room, that wasn't very clean, but I accepted it, since there wasn't any other ground floor rooms available according to her. That evening the room above me kept dropping things, & it sounded like being in a bowling alley w/ the loud noises. Later, a family came in the room next door to me, & the kids started yelling, screaming & pounding on the walls. I called the front desk a couple of times, but no answer. It finally stopped around 10pm. The next morning, I went to take a shower. There wasn't any hot water, & the soap & shampoo dispensers were empty. I called the front desk & again, no answer. Afterward, a Mexican guy apparently had a key to my room & came in, w/o knocking or anything. He looked surprised when he saw me, & started speaking Spanish. I asked who he was & why he came in my room, but just talked Spanish. When I went to the front desk & confronted the clerk (the same rude clerk that checked me in the day before) about this guy having a key to enter my room, she said it MAY be the maintenance guy. I then asked, ”Why didn't he say he's maintenance or staff or have hotel ID on him?” She claimed she didn't know. I filed a complaint w/ the mgr thru the clerk, & he finally sent me a email 3 days later saying he couldn't do anything about the noise from other guests. Nothing about the other issues, like no hot water, soap or shampoo, or why the guy had a key to enter my rm. No offer of a refund or some sort of compensation. Do not stay at this Microtel !!

GGuest UserThe room was clean, check-in was easy, and the staff were kind. The room was pretty, breakfast was an excellent continental breakfast, and the staff went out of their way to help us feel welcome. They were also flexible when our flight was delayed and we had to check in late.
