Cordial staff, good and adequate food, the Museum very interesting, refecting the work of the founders Frans and Trudy Bloom. The historic grounds are cozy.

It is a special treat to stay at Na Bolom. It is really a cultural centre / museum with a few rooms that are available.

The hotel has a lovely ambiance, however it is not a traditional hotel. We arrived with a group of 8 people at 10 pm and there was only one person in the office, so check-in took a long time. The staff member had to check each of us in and then show us to our rooms. The rooms are lovely, with a fireplace in every room. We were in an upstairs room and had to navigate a narrow, steep, winding set of stairs to get to our room. The bathroom had a large tub that was difficult to climb into. Some rooms are a short walk through the gardens. While the hotel and its surroundings are beautiful, it is not designed for easy access for those with mobility challenges. The staff, when they arrived the next morning, were pleasant and professional and the breakfast offered a variety of options. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to town, the textile museum and the markets.

How often can you stay in a house Museum? The room was spacious. You look out on a garden. The restaurant had a great breakfast and a wonderful quiet courtyard location. There is a chapel with antique religious art. There are rooms with pre-Colombian antiquities. There are rooms about the Bloms, who lived in the house early in the 20th century, and their activities. It is a bit of walk from the center of town but the walk is pleasant and gives you a reason to explore. Great choice.
