Quiet and comfy stay. I checked in a little late (after 10pm) and had no problems. I would stay again

I stayed there in Nov. 2010 and this place is amazing! Great location in SF, clean, safe, cozy, they also have fun activities--very interactive. The customer service was spectacular

I’ll be biased and say that I lucked out by booking a bed in a 4 bed room where I ended up being the only person in the room. The check in was smooth and the employees were very friendly. I quite enjoyed the rustic 70’s feeling of the hostel. Made me think I was in that time period. Hostel has everything you need: clean bathrooms, showers, common areas with couches, and a kitchen. Unfortunately by the time I was downstairs for breakfast most of it was gone but that was one for coming late. The alley leading to the hostel is a little sketch if you’re coming from a nicer area and not used to the city life to but it didn’t phase me. The room was a little hot but after opening the window it cooled down a bit. Thankfully brought my portable fan with me. For $35 I got more than I bargained for. Would recommend if you’re traveling on a budget. Definitely the best deal in the city.

For the price and location I give it 5 stars. Noise and SF grime and lawless factor in the area take a star away. That being said it is what it needs to be and I’d stay there again if everything else around is ＞ $1000 per night.

Stayed there for a conference in San Francisco, held in April 2024. Besides the perfect location, amid bars, restaurants, markets and so close to Union Square, the staff of Adelaide was incredible. Hats off to the manager Graham also, who has gone out of his way to mail me back the passport I forgot at my room. s2 Thank you all for the pleasant stay, Adelaide team!

The staff was very rude and would not take my money the indian chick in the front didnt have any experience or knowledge on how yo attended the gust. So i just said i will take my business else where and with a ignorant look and smile said ok lol

I bought two bottles of water for A Dollar Cash each. No big deal, right? Turns out not one, but both bottles had already been opened and were refilled with tap water that tasted horrible and caused my lips to react. You think they could at least give you a new bottle of water when buying bottled water. There was a typical noisy people and such, but it was so hot in the evening I couldn't sleep through my bed of sweat since there was no AC or fan. At least I got three or four hours of sleep before my flight the next day. I definitely wouldn't stay for multiple days and don't buy the bottled water ;-)
