Spontan mit den Motorrädern aus der Schweiz kommend dort angerufen, Doppelzimmer freundlichst bestätigt und für eine Übernachtung eingekehrt. Wunderbare altwürdige Atmosphäre mit einer angenehm-herzlichen Inhaberin und einem engagierten Team. Essen sehr gut und ohne Fehl und Tadel. Zimmer komfortabel und gemütlich. Preise moderat angemessen. Hier ist nichts in die Jahre gekommen, sondern einfach stilecht nach Schwarzwälder Tradition. Wir haben uns wirklich wohlgefühlt und ich kann diese Ensemble und als gute Adresse nur empfehlen.

Urige Unterkunft, mit schönen Zimmern und exquisitem Badezimmer. Leider gab es keinen Trockenraum, so dass wir Mühe hatten unsere regennassen Sachen zu trocknen bzw. nicht zuviel Schmutz hineinzutragen. Wir reisten am Ruhetag an (bei Buchung beachten, denn die Speisekarte ist vielversprechen!) und die angepriesenen Vesperpakete waren leider nicht verfügbar. Aber kein Problem, denn es gibt genügend Restos im Ort zum Ausweichen! Opulentes Frühstück, für das man gut zu Fuß sein sollte und guter Orientierungssinn ist nicht zu verachten (ziemlich verschachtelte Räumlichlkeiten).

Bewertet wird nur das Restaurant. Ich war an einem Samstagabend da und es war sehr viel Betrieb. Mir wurde an Platz in der Nähe des Buffets angeboten, was absolut OK war. Die Tagessuppe Karotte mit Ingwer enttäuschte, da hier einfach der Wumms fehlte; sie schmeckte langweilig und fad. Beim Hirschragout war das Rotkraut erstklassig; wenig Preiselbeeren in einer Apfelschnitte, fertige Röstitaler und durchschnittliches Wild. Allerdings war im Juli auch noch keine Wildzeit/Jagdzeit. Das Servicepersonal war gut gelaunt und freundlich. Ich werde sicher noch mal einen 2. Versuch zur Wildzeit machen.
