Although the hotel is a bit old, it is well maintained and clean. The toiletries are Diptyque, and the toilet paper is tied with a small ribbon~
The service is very good. When I arrived at the airport, I found that I forgot my passport at the hotel. They helped me find it very efficiently and I didn't miss the flight. They also specifically said that I didn't need to tip, which is what they should do.
Disadvantages: The balcony is so small that I can't stretch my legs when sitting on the chair.

Amazing location, comfortable rooms, incredibly friendly staff, beautiful public spaces. Really enjoyed the pool area and being right across from the beach. Truly feels like an oasis of calm despite being in Los Angeles!! It’s a first class hotel and experience!!

For the restaurant: The food was so mediocre; could have had better fish and chips from a street stall. The pudding was also like a powder and milk mix. One waiter was so miserable, just slapped the food down. Very disappointed! I think they trade on the name but not what I expected!

Shutters is the place that our whole 3-generation family wants to go to every summer. We all love walking on the beach, spending time at the pool and walking into town for shopping. Enough to do but still relaxing The staff is attentive, without being oppressive, and they are great around the little ones. The food from all the restaurants (including the related Casa del Mar next door) is excellent, as is their room and pool services. Shutters is relatively expensive but we always feel that we get good value for our expenditures. The proof is that everyone keeps looking forward coming back year after year.
