Sanxenxo Hotels with Bars

The bedrooms were very comfortable, clean and beautifully furnished. They include a small kitchenette with fridge and coffee making facilities. The spa facilities were also excellent. I’ve never seen so many hydrotherapy jets and jacuzzis in one hotel. We enjoyed the sound bath, massages and floatarium. There was a daily programme of wellness activities including yoga, Pilates, sound baths etc. The staff on reception were excellent, with an efficient and friendly check in / check out. The buffet breakfast was good with a wide selection of hot, cold and wellness breakfast items. The major downside was the restaurant and bar service. There were very few staff available to serve food and drinks, so dinner service was incredibly slow despite the best efforts of the waiters / waitresses. It is a short 10 minute walk to the restaurants in town so we found this was a reliable alternative option for speedy service and a wider menu. There are restrictions around pool access for children. Accommodation in building 2 has a large pool that is accessible to 5-12 year olds. In building 1, there is a small unheated pool for 5-12 year olds (very cold water even in mid August) and an aqua play area for small children. The other pools in building 1 are exclusively for over 12s. Building 2 is better for families as it also houses the kids club, but the differences between the two buildings weren’t clear when we booked. The styling at the hotel is eclectic. It has a unique maximalist style with an incredible array of colourful props and lighting styles in every space of the hotel. We found it fun, but not a hotel for minimalists. The Augusta is primarily a spa with excellent accommodation. If it can improve its food and drink offerings, it would truly deliver on its ‘relax’ promise. More broadly, Sanxenxo has a lovely beach and lively seafront with lots of restaurants and ice cream shops.

Premier location surrounded by natural beauty. Attentive, professional, and friendly staff. The spa is what sets this hotel apart from others. Excellent European breakfast. This was our third visit and we plan to return.

Portonovo Beach is a 5-minute walk away. Rooms at Hotel Ton are simple and come with a wardrobe, a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with a bathtub or a shower. The hotel has a shared lounge and you can also get tourist information at the tour desk in reception. You can find many restaurants in the surrounding streets. The property is well situated for outdoor activities such as windsurfing, horse riding, golf, hiking and karting. A 30-minute drive will take you to Pontevedra and Santiago de Compostela Airport is 1 hours’ drive away.

Offering impressive sea views from its setting on the rocky Nanin Beach, Hotel Spa Nanin Playa features an outdoor pool and offers a free spa circuit per person, per stay. Located in Sanxenxo, it is set in attractive gardens. The Nanin Spa Playa’s air-conditioned rooms and apartments have simple décor and some offer views of the Atlantic Ocean. All have satellite TV and a fridge. Apartments also have a seating area and a kitchenette. Traditional Galician cuisine is served in the Nanin’s restaurant, which overlooks the pool and gardens. Free Wi-Fi is available on the terrace and in the bar. All guests have access to the spa. The Nanin Playa is 2 km from the centre of Sanxenxo and its marina. There is easy access to the region’s pretty white beaches and the nearest golf club is just 5 minutes’ drive away.

We cannot understand some reviews we reas. We stayed two nights in this hotel and we can say, it does have lift, it does have confortable matress and staff is very kind. The breakfast acceptable and pool has the perfect size for hotel. Location is perfect if you are looking to discover ”rias baixas”. By contrary, if your plan is stay all your vacation in this hotel probably is not the best, 15min walk to nearest bar/restaurants and the area itself is quite wild so there is no much to do.
