Sao Paulo Hotels with Bars

An old chain hotel located in the old town of Sao Paulo, close to Paulista Avenue, and there is a small supermarket next to the hotel. The hotel rooms are clean and sanitary, the corridors are a bit dark, but the lights in the rooms are warm. The service staff are very enthusiastic, but the speed of check-in and check-out needs to be accelerated.

We recently celebrated our honeymoon at Hotel Unique, and we are beyond thrilled with our experience. The standout of our stay was undoubtedly the exceptional service provided by Mateus. Very good hotel service, relatively large rooms, English communication is very convenient in hotels in Brazil, the hotel also has many facilities, but unfortunately I didn't have time to experience them. The breakfast is very rich.

The location is very good for those looking for peace and quiet in the hustle and bustle of SP, the hotel is a spectacle apart with the green of Burle Marx at the side, very spacious rooms with walk-in closets and large bathrooms. The service and attendance are excellent.

I love the pullman, usually I get quite in pullman Guarulhos, but I stayed in the village olimpia and i was surprised, great location, close to bars and shopping, an amazing breakfast, impeccable cleaning, and I can not fail to mention the Vitor of the reception that attended me with affection, gave me room upgrade. Congratulations to the whole team, I will return.

My recent stay at the Hyatt was horribly unpleasant. The driving factor for my complaint is the fact that I am currently opening an investigation for the robbery of $2.5K dollars in cash (which the hotel is well-aware of) from a passport holder inside of a backpack which never left the hotel upon my arrival from the airport. I submitted a claim and complaint for this issue on 9/10/22 in the morning (around 11AM) and it took the hotel a good part of the day (until 5PM) to call me back to address the serious issue. This was after I took many steps to alert them of my concerns: (1) I called them directly, (2) I was sent to submit a complaint to a Whatsapp Lost&Found number where I never received an answer, (3) I wrote an email describing the incident, and (4) I contacted a security team at my company Amazon, which spoke to the hotel and filed a civil police claim. Although you'd think this would be enough to ruin your hotel experience, there was more that took place during my stay which make me question the security of my belongings inside the room. To start off, when I checked in at around 12PM there was no room available, although I hoped that as a Hyatt Discoverist member I would have received priority treatment - I was deluded. Tired from a 15+ hour journey, I left the hotel and waited until 3PM for a promised email/call to let me know my room was ready, which never came. I then proceeded to call the hotel directly and was told that the room was ready, so I returned to the hotel to check-in. When I arrived, I was informed by the front desk that my room was not ready (jokes on me) and waited about 20-30 mins for a room to finally be assigned and my luggage returned. At last, I proceeded to my assigned room. Upon arrival, I opened my door to find another man inside working - who I startled and also told me he'd had the same issue during his own check-in process. You can imagine that if they are giving member guests incorrect key cards to enter rooms, this puts in question the overall safety and privacy of guests in the hotel. The next day, I ordered breakfast to my room which arrived cold, the eggs very badly made and bread dry - a subpar meal. Finally, days into my stay I was awoken at 1:30AM by very strange noises in the room next door behind my bed which seemed like banging of drawers and furniture being hit (I have recorded footage as evidence). I proceeded to call the hotel front desk and was told someone would come up to verify. No one ever came to my

Ten stars! The Ca' D'Oro is like staying at a St. Regis in the middle of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The highlights: Wonderful, personal staff, who remembered and remarked I was a repeat visitor, and gave me a room with a spectacular view in recognition of the loyalty. Spotless, gloriously-quiet and well-designed rooms, something that is a rarity in São Paulo. Lovely common amenities, including a library space and a really nice rooftop pool. Breakfast is also excellent, and very good quality. But best of all is the location - who are all these drab people saying the area isn't nice? It's one of the coolest areas of São Paulo, smack dab in the middle of downtown/Higienopolis (with fantastically hip restaurants, cafés and shopping) and Paulista (which is convenient for touristy things), close to the metro L4, which gets you anywhere in the city in no time, and in a quiet part of Rua Augusta, which has bars, restaurants, and some of the best nightlife in Brazil. The location is very good. It takes 15-30 minutes to most sightseeing spots. The room was clean, but it was a bit small. Staff was amicable and polite. Because it’s not as close to Avenida Paulista, it is much quieter than other hotels. There’s a drugstore about 5 minutes from the hotel and Le Pain Quotidien is 7-minute walk (if you’re looking for a place to have brunch).

It was not our first and not even our second stay in this hotel. From the beginning we just loved everything about it. Our previous stay was exactly 2 years ago: in January, 22 and that time I also wrote a review saying how classy hotel it is and how much it deserves more honest management, because they decided nothing better than make super-noisy works inside the hotel without either closing it or – at the very least - warning the guests beforehand or just having a notice on their site about the fact of the works and their schedule, so everyone could make an informed decision whether to book depending on their plans in Sao Paulo – because it is isn’t possible to be in the room with a kind of noise and walls shaking that was going on around. But, well, in January, 22 the pandemic was still on, so everything that was happening during that time should be looked at with some kind of discount, shouldn’t it? And then 2 years have passed, so surely the renovation - or whatever they call them – works should had finished long time ago, in 2 years you can build a completely new hotel from scratch and Emiliano must be even more classy now that it was in the past, - we thought naively with my wife when making a booking for Emiliano Suite (just a bit shy of USD 1.000 per night) this time for our 2 days break in Sao Paulo. When checking-in, more for the sake of pulling a joke I asked the receptionist: but for sure you don’t have any more works, like you had 2 years back, do you? Hum, actually we do have renovations ongoing on 10th and 11th floor – the answer was, - but you won’t hear anything on the 16th floor you Suite is on, but if you will be disturbed, please, just call us and we will stop it right away. Right, just a bit after 9:00 a.m. banging of tens of hummers started and it felt like they were all banging on the walls and ceiling of our suite. Like agreed, I called front desk and told them to stop it all right away. “Yes, yes, they understand”. Except absolutely nothing was changing. I called again and again and on the 3rd time I asked to talk to the manager. After some time, I was passed to some female (unfortunately didn’t catch the name), who – it was felt through a phone receiver – smiling from ear to ear asked me how she could help me. They should stop the noise right away and refund me the money, - I told her, - because they promise 5-star amenities and 5-star comfort luring people to stay with them. They do have the amenities, but there is absolutely no comfort with that noise. So, sorry, they can’t stop the noise, they have renovation works going on, but she will see what she can do about refunding me some money, - she said without her cheeky smile already. Of course, I never heard from her again and at the check-out was presented a bill showing full amounts for room. So, not only management of the hotel became any more honest throughout these 2 years. For those who are looking for a hotel in the centre of SP, this may be an option, but don't leave to stay without prior reservation, the value of the balcony is extremely high. I recommend high, mainly because of the lift competition, delayed due to the high demand for staff in shopping on March 25 and Brás. Breakfast is much more or less. Careful walking around the region, it's dangerous, I always recommend Uber, taxi or any vehicle.
