I stayed with Manish and his family for one night. My timing couldn’t be more wrong, with a holiday and heavy rains making it impossible to go on the safari three times. Still, Manish was very welcoming and he tried his best to make my stay memorable and worthwhile. He arranged for a driver to take me to the Ranthambore fort and the nearby museum. I also went with him and his son to the city for some groceries to celebrate his son’s birthday together. I felt very welcomed, the food was delicious, cooked freshly from scratch by his lovely wife using only fresh ingredients. I shared many conversations with the family, talking about their daily lives, traditional Indian food and culture. The room was very clean, with everything I needed, working AC and warm water. Even though I didn’t manage to go on a safari, the stay was a perfect example of Indian hospitality. Highly recommend!

The resort is : 1. Reasonably priced 2. Very near the railway station (3km) 3. Near main road 4. Pickup for safari directly available from resort 5. Both types of toilets were there in our room (western and indian) 6. The owner/ manager and staff were very courteous and ready to help. 7. Freshest of food (simple and home like) available at your convenience. 8. Taxi driver provided was again most courteous and helpful 9. Our room was corner room with balconies on two sides and there was plenty of sunshine especially in winters the experience of the stay and overall visit was excellent. Great hotel with clean rooms with everything you might need for a safari trip. The gardens are beautifully ***tained, and bonfires are lit every evening for guests to enjoy. The best thing about Vatika by far is the staff who are so helpful, welcoming, and accomodating. Devendra helped us organise safaris, a visit to the fort (magical!), and a taxi to Jaipur when our trains were cancelled. The food is also excellent (the honey chilli potatoes are incredible) and reasonably priced, and the breakfast is delicious with generous portions. Thank you for a brilliant stay!
