Travelodge York Tadcaster

It is a very convenient place for those who come by car. Its location is not very suitable for those who come alone and without a car.

This travel lodge is clean and functional but lacking in personality. There was a bleach smell throughout. The room was a good size, but dark (ground floor with hedging outside window) and lighting was pretty poor. The bathroom was spotless, with a powerful shower but there were no towels provided. Luckily we had brought some with us. The door to the room was very heavy and awkward to use. The bathroom door had a very odd handle which didn’t close easily, and would be troublesome for someone with eg arthritis. The reception is a hole in the wall - it’s like arriving at a hostel. Outside the place looks tired but is clean and tidy. This would be fine for a pitstop en route, but not for a hotel stay as part of a holiday.

Never used travellodge before. Booked very last minute for that same night, great price. Very easy check-in was asked by Maria if we had been before, as we hadn't she explained everything to us and was very pleasant. Our room and bathroom was spotless . I asked for more pillows which was no problem. Next morning I asked for a hairdryer which was given. I would definitely use Travellodge again. 1st experience was 1st class

What you see is what you get with Travelodge , no frills but clean and comfortable .Staff helpful and friendly 😊

3 friends managed to bag a family room together, making it so much fun we could all stay together and it was so affordable!

I stay here weekly, and tonight, i had the pleasure of being greeted by Sue. Like all the staff I have come across here.. there is nothing too much to ask. Sue had the local knowledge for places to visit and places to order food from. That's a bonus in itself. Keep up the good work, guys, and see you next week. Maybe if work says so, that is.

What a fantastic travelodge on the A64 is not far from York and tadcaster we were greeted by sue the supervisor she was fantastic and very friendly and helpful and a credit to travelodge and would stay here again the room was spotless and a Gregg’s close by for breakfast
