We stayed here for 8 nights in a Grand Deluxe Twin. Everything was top notch, from the initial communication with the hotel, the check-in process on the 15th floor and the very well appointed room. The breakfast buffet is huge, although can get monotonous as the dishes on offer do not change. Service throughout our stay was excellent. There was a minor hiccup when housekeeping cleared our child’s favourite pillow, but the Housekeeping Manager’s service recovery was on point and the pillow was recovered, washed and returned the next evening. Location is fantastic. The hotel is part of Lotte City, that encompasses 5 buildings- the main hotel, the Executive Tower, main department store (restaurants and Lotte Duty Free on the top floors), AvenueK and Lotte Young (includes Uniqlo and Muji). At the basement, there is the food hall, food court and entrance to Euljiro 1 station. The main Myeongdong shopping/ street food/ restaurants area is across the road, so you’re away from the crowds yet just a 5 minute walk to the heart of it all. A special thank you to Paul, at the front door who arranged our taxi booking, and took the time to ensure we would not be impacted by the marathon the next morning, and the housekeeping manager, who came by personally to address the lost pillow situation. We will stay here again should we be back in Seoul.

Myeong-dong
Definitely 5 star hotel experience in both the room and grand main hotel lobby. (+) Very spacious and luxurious room (king sized bed). (+) Wife liked the makeup table with large mirror. (+) Bathroom has bath and separate shower area. (+) Lobby staff were proactive and helpful, especially to book taxis (+) Lotte department store is in the next building and accessible through hotel basement. (+) Proximity to Myeongdong area also meant we were able to get Korean streetside stall food in the evenings. (+) Hotel systems are good - when we mentioned we checked in two days ago, the reception staff was able to pull-up our info without needing us to give all our passports again to check-in (which would have been a hassle with some passports in locked suitcases as we just returned from a 2 day trip to the ski resort) - They were able to also retrieve our stored luggage and deliver to our rooms without us digging out the luggage tag from our suitcase Just a few minuses which weren’t a big deal but still worth mentioning (-) Toilet has no lock (-) Didn’t like that toothpaste and toothbrush have to be separately paid for, as a minibar item. I tend to bring my own toothbrush when I travel, so wouldn’t use the hotel’s toothbrush anyway. but my son did not bring his toothbrush and we did not realise toothbrushes were in the minibar (-) There are no sofas nor chairs whatsoever in the main lobby (except two chairs in front of concierge desk) which was uncomfortable when we were waiting for our taxi. The Lotte hotel at Lotte World have sofas in the lobby so it seemed peculiar to this hotel. (-) Room is slightly dim (despite there being several lamps) as there is no central ceiling light. (my wife thinks its ok)
Lotte Hotel World Gangnam

I visit Seoul yearly and Lotte Hotel World is one of best I've stayed so far. Location: Great for cherry blossoms scenery with Lake View rooms and we managed to catch beautiful sunrise too. Although not near most tourist attractions, it's located above 2 subway stations & linked to Lotte malls. Customer Service: Excellent customer service. Kudos to Front Desk Mr Duke Lee & Ms Hwang Yoonkyoung for being so patient and accomdating with my many requests as I was travelling with family of 13. I really appreciate the attentiveness of Mr Duke as he would approach me when he saw me walking towards the front desk to assist me and even asked how were the day trips we went for. I would also like to thank Ms Sharon Kim from Room Reservations for being so helpful and patient too! Room: Well maintained & no complaints. Multi usb points means we don't have to fight to charge devices. Amenities like shampoo, conditioner and body wash smell nice! Only downside was toothbrush was chargable which we didn't expect. But it is part of the hotel's sustainability movement hence we respect that. We also had a room which was the Junior Suite. Spacious room with living room and dining area with basic kitchen. If utensils are provided, it would have been even more convenient as we bought some food back. Breakfast: One of the widest selection I have seen. Pastry selection is good and the croissants were hot favourite of the family. The service team is also attentive and prompt. We were always greeted with warm welcome and smiles. Overall: Thank you for making my family feel welcomed and we enjoyed our stay very much!
