Hotels in Hengshan Road Area, Shanghai

My stay here exceeded expectations. The room had great natural light and was spotlessly clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The front desk staff were attentive, patient, and friendly. The hotel is conveniently located, with plenty of dining options nearby, and the soundproofing was excellent, so there was no disruptive noise. Overall, it offers great value for money and a very pleasant experience. It's a highly recommended hotel.

The room was clean and tidy. Hygienic: Hygienic supplies are complete. Facilities: The shower washed a person and waited for more than 10 minutes. The temperature was screwed to the hottest, and there was no hot water. I took a cold shower and washed my feet. The air conditioner was turned on and the warm air was turned on, and the socks were hung on the heights and did not dry all night. The wet shoes were not dry all night.

I've been to Shanghai a few times, and before I always stayed around Nanjing Road, Hongqiao, or Disneyland. This time, I wanted to explore the area near Wukang Building, so I booked this hotel, and I absolutely loved it! It's an old Shanghai villa with its own small garden, and there's a cafe and restaurant right in the courtyard, attracting many young people for photos and check-ins. The room even has a mini-fridge stocked with beer, eight-treasure porridge, drinks, coffee, and tea – all complimentary. The hotel restaurant's breakfast is also excellent. The location is superb; the famous Wukang Building is just 200 meters away, and the former residences of Soong Ching-ling and Ba Jin are nearby. There are also many trendy cafes, restaurants, and bars in the vicinity, as well as plenty of interesting small shops to browse and lots of delicious food. The front desk staff was incredibly kind; they even gave me mosquito repellent and a very cute umbrella, and a farewell gift at checkout, which was so heartwarming! I stayed for two nights and had a wonderful time. For anyone visiting Shanghai, I highly recommend staying here; you definitely won't be disappointed.

Facilities: Simple yet well-equipped, with a water-heated mattress and even a washing machine with a dryer. Service: Check-in and check-out were very convenient, and they thoughtfully provided free luggage storage. Cleanliness: The room was quite clean, but the glass door to the shower could be improved. Environment: Located in a quiet building, there's a nice French café downstairs where we had breakfast every day. It's a three-minute walk to the A'gen Restaurant, which offers great value local cuisine; we ate there for three nights in a row.

Its a rather basic hotel but comfortable with sufficient amenities. Our room wasnt big but came with a spacious balcony, which was the 'garden' stated in the room category. The location is ideal for exploring the French Concession area and very near to cafes and eateries, esp, on Yong Kang Road. Also walkable to Tianzifang. The staff are friendly and helpful. I wd recommend if u want to have a more local feel of Shanghai.

I chose this Ji Hotel because I had an appointment at the Ocular and ENT Hospital. The location is absolutely fantastic, very close to the hospital. The surrounding area is also great. However, as an established chain hotel, I was shocked the moment I pulled back the duvet in my room – there were a lot of hair strands. I don't think they changed the bedding between guests. I called the front desk to report it, and they sent a cleaning attendant later that evening to replace the duvet cover and other linens for me.

The room was a bit small, but the location was great and the environment was decent. There were a few roads nearby, though I forgot their names. If you're not in a hurry, you can take your time exploring the area. It's about a ten-minute bike ride to the Wukang Building. We came in winter, and the wind wasn't too cold when we cycled back at night. The streetlights were warm, and the streets were beautiful. The bike ride to the Wukang Building in the morning was also very pleasant, with plane trees lining both sides of the road. I imagine it will be even more beautiful in autumn.

I booked this guesthouse before going to the Cultural Center to see a show, and it was quite nice. It was close to both the Cultural Center and the subway station, and there were many good restaurants nearby. The room was clean, and although I thought the old building wouldn't be very soundproof, it was actually quite quiet.
