Since the front of the hotel is a shipping station to Moji and Iwata Island, I was able to return to the hotel in ５ minutes after sightseeing Moji retro. Convenience store is next to the family. The sea sound hall and Kamon Wharf are also in front of you. Akama Jingu shrine and Yoshitsune statue are within walking distance. The station is far, but there are often city buses. Parking fee was free. The staff feels good. The building is old, the room is slender and small, but if you go from the price, you can't complain. The bed in the twin room is semi double ２ and relaxing. The bath and toilet are separated, and the bath is Japanese style that can wash the body outside the bathtub. There is a bath salt. There is no hook to hang a bath towel.

Arrived late at night and only １ nights. A little far from Shimonoseki Station, but the Karatsu market of the tourist spot is close and Akama Jingu shrine is in front of you. The dormitory room signed was just the view of Akama Jingu shrine. I couldn't use it when I checked out, but I seemed to have access to the rooftop. I did a waste of expecting a considerable view. I went to Kitakyushu for a family trip and stayed at Rihga royal hotel Fukuoka, which is located near Kokura station, the center of Kitakyushu. First of all, the location is very good. Since it's near Kokura station, it's easy to get to other areas nearby, such as Fukuoka and Moji port. The hotel is a large hotel with high floors that are very noticeable in the neighborhood and seems to be the best hotel near Kokura for banquet halls, buffets, etc. It has an overall older feel than the newer hotels these days, but in a good way, it's classic and the rooms are relatively larger than the newer hotels. Overall, the hotel is well maintained, so it is clean and comfortable. The hotel staff is also doing a good job of maintaining the characteristic Japanese friendliness and attentiveness. The in-room amenities are also good. The hotel breakfast is also excellent for the price. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Kitakyushu.

You had everything you need whenever it come to JR hotel, the train station are always packed with foodies and whatever necessities you need like matsumoto kiyoshi. Fell ill this time when i arrived and the helpful staff though can't speak english well, try to help me identify the shop to get med and i greatly appreciate their customer service. Foodies street right below of the hotel, with Shin shin ramen, skewer and kinda a party foodies street. Very convenient but i dont think i will visit kokura so often but i will be back to this hotel if required. Great work!

Very nice place for a good price. Staff don’t speak English but the have this instant translation app that made everything easy and smooth. Room was comfy enough even though the AC was a bit too noisy.

We stayed 1-night in a 3-bedder while exploring North-East Kyushu area. Very friendly front desk staff and they were efficient and fast checking us in to to our room. To our surprise, we were provided with complimentary breakfast and also free-flow welcome drinks. Excellent end to the day after driving hours in the heavy downpour. Room was of good size for 3 adults and even space to lay out our luggage. WiFi was good and we had free car park throughout the stay. Beds were comfy with choice of pillows. Separate wash area outside the bathroom which was useful with 3 people in the room. Breakfast saw a good spread of local fare and it was sumptuous and must say the best hotel breakfast spread throughout our 2-weeks Kyushu road trip.
