A very cozy place where you feel like at home, the friendly staffs is a great catch, the 2 girls who started at 5 am preparing your breakfast always carry a sweet smile that makes you day with great start, Gloria and Darren always take the extra mile to make suggestions for places to visit and dine caring to your preferences, the man in charge, Sam, really impressed me how far they go to make a conventional hotel business with great concern to being Green, the team there makes it different from the others and I would recommend anyone who is visiting Victoria to book yourself couple of nights there

GGuest UserIn Victoria for a conference. The Empress was a most convenient spot to stay. The hotel is simply beautiful with a most excellent location downtown. The staff is very professional white being friendly. The site is very clean, with classic decor. To reach my room on the 7th floor, I had to take two elevators, (or one elevator and a set of stays). The room was large, very comfortable, with all necessary amenities, including fridge and Keurig. The gym, open 24 hours/day) has good equipment, but they had no wipes to clean the machines after use. They have a lovely pool, which I did not use. I

GGuest UserMy husband and I have been visiting the Oak Bay Resort for many years, even when it was the older hotel! It is our haven and happy place.We come yearly, and perhaps twice a year when we can. The staff are very welcoming, and highly professional. The hotel itself is gorgeous, and placed in one of the most magnificent Ocean settings. Delicious food is served in the Snug Pub, as well as Faro’s ,who have recently added some wonderful new items to their pizza menu.And the mineral bath and spa overlooking the ocean is a great asset and one of our favourite spots. The hotel rooms are very spacious with big soaker tubs, and dreamy pillows and bedding. There are wonderful walks from the hotel . Within about 30 minutes you can be strolling along Willows Beach, or shopping in the delightful Oak Bay or Estevan Villages. What a great treat to go here!

GGuest UserThis is such a fun hotel! It’s near some busy roads, a mall, and a bunch of restaurants and such, which I guess is nice, but it’s pretty noisy and you’re not going to get a great view from your room or anything. BUT! Where to start? The rooms are clean. My kids and I loved the comic book, stickers, yo-yo, and rotary phone in our room. The hot tub is a little small, but guess what? You can soak in it and keep an eye on your kiddos as they enjoy the indoor/outdoor pool and water slide! Inside the lobby, you can find myriad board games, ping pong, “bowling,” Wii, and even old school typewriters in which you can pluck out that novel you’ve been keeping in the back of your head. The lobby Coffee is better than any in-room coffee another hotel might offer. And speaking of the lobby, the staff here is 110%! I got what I thought was an automated text asking how my state was so far. I said “meh” because we had just checked in and I wasn’t impressed with the area. I got a response from a real person right away!She provided answers to my questions and concerns and even delivered earplugs and silverware and cups to my room later when I needed them! When I was teaching my kiddo how to use a typewriter, the front desk staff didn’t hover over us or anything, just let us do our thing. Last, the little restaurant (open for breakfast and lunch) has a killer breakfast menu and such friendly staff!

GGuest UserI had called 9 hotels prior to this booking searching for a suite option that allowed my mom and adult brother some privacy and no one being stuck on a pull out sofa. Chateau Victoria had a great layout option at half price of any alternatives I could find. In addition to that, the customer service agent I spoke with, Heidi, was a breath of fresh air to converse with. Unlike previous hotels I had called, Heidi asked logical, relevant questions, and listened and responded in a helpful manner to all inquiries that I had. She was knowledgeable, polite, and made booking a breeze. I will definitely book at this property again.

ななたはたりThere were no amenities such as slippers and toothbrushes. Dishes, glasses, detergent, etc. will make you feel comfortable even during your long stay. There is also a stove, microwave, refrigerator, and oven. The room was large and had a table and closet, so it was spacious enough for multiple people to use. It was about a 10 minute walk from the bus stop to the ferry port, and there were no hills and access was good.

GGuest UserI went to Victoria with my friends, mainly because it is cost-effective. It is four or five kilometers away from the provincial government and Chinatown. The hotel has breakfast for an additional fee. There is no place to have breakfast around, so you need to drive nearby to eat. We are driving out to play, so it does not affect , still quite satisfied

VVelasco-BuurmanThis hotel was perfect for my husband and I. Everywhere was walkable, to the park, Fisherman’s Wharf, to the Parliament and downtown. We enjoyed the quietness of the neighbourhood and the victorian houses. We will definitely consider staying here again!

LLiThe service at the front desk is very friendly. There are vending machines where you can buy snacks. The heating in the room is sufficient. The toilet and room are also clean. The transportation is also convenient. It is a 10-minute drive from downtown. The only downside is that no slippers are provided.

AAnonymous UserI had another great stay here. The valet was super friendly and helpful, and check in was a breeze. Front desk agent was very sweet. My room was clean and comfortable and I had a really nice view. This is my new go to hotel in Victoria. I also love that there’s a Starbucks in the lobby.
