The hotel located nearby department store and mall and could say located in city center as it’s closer to everything. Easy to find food around there and the staff really nice

Had a one night stay while on a road trip through the state. Selected this property based on room rate as rates in the area were high for a Tuesday night. Hotel is well situated by the mall and with lots of shops and restaurants although it is 7 miles from I90. The area wasn't busy on a weeknight so no traffic issues but parking lot was tight and not well situated. Check in was fast and easy although the desk employee wasn't friendly. Not recognized as a Marriott elite member. Room was large and comfortable although not as clean as we would like or typically see at Marriott properties. Bathroom was also spacious but door had a frosted glass window that allowed light to enter the bedroom. Odd choice for a bathroom door. As other's have commented, the breakfast wasn't up to Springhill Suite standards. It was serviceable but was missing several key items typically present at other properties. I would stay here again at the right price but wouldn't go out of the way.

I gave a generous three-star rating, but I wouldn’t return for another stay. If I’m paying $200 for one night, I’d expect my room to be clean. My towels and pillowcases were stained, and toilet and the bathroom floors were visibly dirty. I chose to wear my sandals in the shower as it was also stained and dirty. I look forward to a shower after a long day of travel, so I was disappointed that, after my shower here, I did not feel clean. As for the service, the man at the front desk did a great job considering he appeared to be running the entire hotel alone. Checking in took quite a bit of time, but I don’t fault him for it as I’d imagine some additional help would have allowed him to be more efficient. He had several guests to attend to at one time. When I returned to the front desk later to ask for a few extra toiletries, he promised to send some to my room as soon as he could, and somehow, amongst everything else he was doing, he hurried down to my room to provide the extra toiletries. Surely, between the prices of the rooms and the costs cut in cleaning supplies, SpringHill Suites could afford to hire this poor man a coworker.

Have stayed at motels all over for 20+ years and for the amount of money they charge there was lots of needed upkeep. The linens were given sparingly and not in good shape. The bed is wore out. The shower floor and wall had cracks in it. The air conditioner wouldn't work; you could turn it colder and it would be warm and then bump a degree or two more and it would freeze you out. Would NOT recommend especially for the price and other items as mentioned.

No daily room cleanings were done though they were requested. We asked 5 times over 3 days to have our room cleaned. We were told each time that they would “personally make sure it was done”. Never had our room cleaned or restocked. Facilities were not very clean when we arrived and service was lackluster. Will not stay here again.

Dakota, front desk clerk who checked me in, was excellent. She escorted me to my room to make sure I was happy with the location. Hotel has new owners and really needs some TLC. Carpeting looked new but woodwork in room and tile in bathroom need attention. Hotel is next to I-29 which was noisy. Breakfast is typical Springhill Suites. Staff person was attentive and kept it stocked, l neat & clean.

I found a great last minute rate so chose to stay at Springhill. Conveniently located right next to Empire Mall with lots of dining options nearby. Check in was very quick, and staff was great. Room is gorgeous, with fridge and microwave, sofa sleeper, desk, and we had a king size bed. TV included Netflix, bathroom was very spacious, and bed was very comfortable. We were on the fourth floor, and the elevator was a little slow ( only one elevator). Breakfast was sufficient but not great - unfortunately they did not receive waffle mix so we could not enjoy those. I would definitely stay here again for the great price and location.

This is a really solid property in a good location next to the mall in Sioux Falls, right off I-29. I was really pleased with everything here- good room with a ton of space, nice workout room, and good breakfast. Location is key here- there's a ton of stuff right around the hotel, and the location off I-29 is efficient. My room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. I had a lot of work to do when I checked in, and I never felt fatigue sitting at the desk. The bathroom and shower were roomy and clean. Slept like a rock thanks to the nice bed and linens. Only issue I really had was that there's one elevator, and it's slow. The night I stayed the hotel was packed, and it seemed like the elevators were taking forever. I know, it's a first world problem and not really a showstopper, but if I have any feedback, that would be it. Next time I stop in Sioux Falls I would not hesitate to stay here again, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The front desk attendant had absolutely zero idea of what she was doing. I booked a room online and I put the wrong day on my reservation. When we came at 2:30 in the morning - the lady absolutely had no clue of how to help me change my reservation - I ended up paying for a completely different reservation and still haven’t received a refund for the mess up. I waited for almost an hour until she was able to figure out how to check me in under a new room. It was 3:47 am by the time I got into my room with our 3 little boys. This was an absolute disappointment in customer service. I went to the front desk in the morning to clarify my situation and that I needed a refund for one of the payments. There were 3 men working and none of them gave me the time of day - it was completely absurd- I’m not sure who is actually in charge but they need a complete new staff. Especially at the front desk .
