"This hotel is truly fantastic! The check-in experience was superb, with attentive and detailed service. The room was clean and tidy, and well-equipped with amenities like a washer-dryer combo and a microwave. It was also incredibly quiet, and the soft bed was very comfortable, with two pillow options to choose from. There's even a terrace on the second floor where you can enjoy tea or dry clothes. The location is excellent; there's a bus stop right outside, and the subway station is just a five-minute walk away, making it only about ten minutes to Guanqian Street. Overall, this hotel offers incredible value for money and is an exceptional choice for any trip. I'd definitely stay here again if I have the chance! Highly recommend it to everyone!"

Tongli Lake View Hotel

The hotel environment is great, and the rooms have just been renovated but there's no unpleasant smell. The service is excellent! I'd especially like to thank Tingting at the front desk, Wang Zhi from housekeeping for the beautiful flowers, Xiaoyun at the kids' club for helping me find my baby's water bottle, and Wu Dan for the generous fruit delivery. Overall, the service was fantastic! [smiley faces] It's also very suitable for children, as they can feed koi, bunnies, black swans, and ducklings. The children's play facilities are also abundant.

This hotel is located on the eastern side of Taihu Lake, right next to Suzhou Bay, offering beautiful scenery. It's also within walking distance to the Florentia Village outlet mall. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the bedding is comfortable. There's an underground parking garage, which is very convenient for those traveling by car. Overall, a very satisfying stay.

Choosing to stay at the Four Seasons Hotel for my Suzhou vacation was an absolutely fantastic experience, truly embodying the relaxed sophistication of a luxury getaway. It's no wonder it's considered a top-tier luxury hotel on Jinji Lake. The ambiance, service, and attention to detail were all incredibly impressive, making it the perfect choice for anyone visiting Suzhou. The hotel boasts a unique location on its own private island in Jinji Lake, offering a secluded and tranquil retreat far from the city's hustle and bustle. From the moment you enter, the scenery unfolds beautifully, with stunning lake views and lush greenery at every turn, each step revealing an elegant Suzhou-style charm. During the day, you can gaze at the expansive blue waters of Jinji Lake and the city skyline. In the evening, the sunset casts a warm glow over the lake, and after dark, the lights sparkle, providing a direct view of the 'Eye of Suzhou' Ferris wheel at night. It's peaceful and therapeutic, and every photo you take is filled with atmospheric beauty, perfectly capturing that sense of a vacation escape. The overall design seamlessly blends the serene, ink-wash landscape aesthetic of Jiangnan gardens with modern, subtle luxury. There's no over-the-top decor; instead, every detail exudes understated elegance. The public areas are open and refined, adorned with garden elements and Chinese design accents, creating a quiet and serene atmosphere. Strolling through feels like being in a traditional Jiangnan courtyard, instantly bringing a sense of calm and relaxation. What truly moved me was the Four Seasons' impeccable service, which genuinely paid attention to every detail, making me feel completely at home. From the moment I arrived at the underground parking, staff proactively helped with luggage and guided me through the check-in process, which was efficient and quick, with no long waits. I was also pleasantly surprised with a thoughtful room upgrade upon check-in. The staff even brought a generous welcome fruit platter, exquisite desserts, and special tea, accompanied by a handwritten greeting card – a truly heartfelt gesture. Throughout my stay, the staff were polite, gentle, and promptly responsive to any request, always there when needed but never intrusive, striking the perfect balance. The guest room's living quality far exceeded my expectations. The overall design used low-saturation, soft color tones, creating a warm yet sophisticated ambiance. The room had excellent natural light and stunning views, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering a panoramic view of the lake, providing an exceptional viewing experience. The entire room was meticulously clean, with spotless corners and crevices. The bed was soft, fluffy, and breathable, paired with high-quality bedding, ensuring a peaceful and comfortable sleep. The bathroom was spacious with a separate wet and dry area, and the design featuring a Chinese screen alongside a scenic bathtub was particularly unique and atmospheric. Coupled with high-end Frédéric Malle bath products, taking a relaxing bath was incredibly therapeutic. The room's soundproofing was excellent, blocking out all external noise, making it quiet and private, allowing for immersive personal time. The hotel's facilities are comprehensive. The breakfast buffet offered a rich variety and fresh ingredients, with both Western and Chinese dishes, as well as local Jiangnan specialties, all exquisitely prepared and authentic. The hotel also offers diverse recreational experiences such as a flower workshop, pottery workshop, and lake-side cycling, along with thoughtful family-friendly amenities, catering to both adult relaxation and children's enjoyment. This stay was a perfect 10! The Suzhou Four Seasons seamlessly blends Suzhou's elegant charm with luxurious service, showcasing high quality through every detail. It offers incredible value for money and has become my benchmark for luxury hotels in Suzhou. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Suzhou!

Yuanzi Hostel (Suzhou Pingjiang Road)

I stayed for two nights. The first night was on the third floor, where there was a photo-op spot right by the entrance. The second floor was a simple room, but it had a projector screen for watching movies. The room was a bit smaller and cheaper, but all the amenities provided were the same, which I really liked. Personally, I'd recommend the third floor over the second, mainly because it also has a small balcony, and it works out to be a better value overall, with not much difference in price. Right downstairs is a cafe. If you stay on the third floor, you get two coffee vouchers and a dessert. I ordered the dark chocolate, a matcha latte, and a pistachio Basque cheesecake – all were delicious and had a very refreshing taste. The cafe also has a great atmosphere with plenty of books and is very Instagrammable, plus there are a few cats roaming around. The guesthouse is right next to Pingjiang Road, which I personally find much better for browsing than Shantang Street 🤣. Even if you're looking for a cheongsam, there are many options, and most are quite affordable, cheaper than what you'd find on Shantang Street.

East Tai Lake Grand Hotel

Facilities: The overall layout is quite good, with excellent greenery and ample space. It's lovely to take a walk along the lake. The Taihu Lake view and water quality are decent. Hygiene: The public areas could use some improvement; it seems there isn't a dedicated cleaner for them. However, the room's hygiene was quite good. Breakfast: Too many people! The variety is quite rich, but it gets incredibly crowded during holidays. Hot Springs: Soaking in the hot springs at night was great because you can't see much. During the day, they were closed in the morning due to a lawn wedding happening outside. Swimming Pool: The temperature was fine, but the shower areas need better hygiene. Kids' Area: I recommend adding a sandpit or some non-powered play equipment to keep kids entertained longer. Butler Service: Ella was excellent! Our room had mosquitoes, and she immediately brought mosquito repellent. Her service was very attentive.

Jinke Grand Hotel

My stay at Jinke Grand Hotel during the Labour Holiday was a great experience, especially considering the price. It was very cost-effective, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the amenities offered at such an affordable rate. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a nice view and even a bathtub, which was a great bonus. The hotel also has a swimming pool, which added to the overall experience. The location is very convenient. It is within walking distance of Suzhou North Railway Station, making it easy to get around. It is also about a 20-minutes trip to nearby malls and Western restaurants, which was perfect for me. The service was excellent. The staff were professional, polite, and very helpful. I especially appreciated that they spoke both English and Mandarin, which made communication smooth and easy. The only downside was the breakfast selection. While it was decent, I do wish there were more Western-style options, particularly when it comes to meat choices. Overall, I had a very good stay and would definitely recommend Jinke Grand Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and affordable place to stay in a convenient location.

The ambiance is wonderfully peaceful, far from the hustle and bustle, making it a perfect spot to unwind and clear your mind. While the resort isn't overly large, simply enjoying the lake views and taking leisurely strolls each day was incredibly pleasant. The only downside was the intense heat during our stay, which limited our ability to explore for extended periods. **Cleanliness:** Everything was spotlessly clean. The pool water was also meticulously maintained, seemingly refreshed with each new booking, which was impressive. **Facilities:** We stayed in a 2-bedroom unit. The layout of the upstairs bedroom felt more practical and well-designed. Downstairs, however, the bathroom lacked a separate wet and dry area, making the room quite humid after a shower, although thankfully a dehumidifier was provided. The tatami mat in the lounge area was very spacious, large enough to comfortably sleep two additional people. **Service:** The service was excellent and very responsive. Our room was promptly serviced on the second day. A special thank you to our butler, Adrian! **Minor Drawback:** The only slight drawback was perhaps the dining options. After trying two meals, we'd recommend sticking to the Western menu, as the Chinese food, in particular, offered quite poor value for money.

This is my second stay at the Crowne Plaza Kunshan, and it's fantastic! It offers incredible value for money, and the location is excellent. There's a direct corridor from the hotel to Jiufang City, which makes dining and shopping super convenient. The hotel staff are also very welcoming and friendly. I really like the decor style too. All in all, I'll definitely be staying here again next time I'm in Kunshan.

As other online reviews mentioned, don't expect much from the service here. 1. Usually, hotels have a butler escort you to your room and explain things, or at least wait at the door. On our check-in day, we arrived at our room to find the door open. A staff member in plain clothes suddenly emerged from the room, startling us. But that's a minor detail. 2. The public hot spring (gongtang) operating hours are 8:00 AM to 10:30 PM. However, when we went at 9:30 PM, after showering, ready to soak, we were told the 'golden' spring (jintang) was already being cleaned and we couldn't use it. Why couldn't anyone warn us when we entered or while we were showering? They started cleaning a full hour before closing, and there were 3-4 other guests in the women's bath at the time; everyone just looked at each other in disbelief. 3. On Tuesday, before checking out, I wanted to have one last soak, so I woke up early. But when I entered the women's changing room, all the lights were off (the locker access card still worked, so the access control wasn't off, and there were no 'closed' signs at the entrance). I had to call the front desk myself to find out it was closed on Tuesdays. No one mentioned this to us during check-in or at any other time, and it wasn't in the check-in guide. So, we woke up early for nothing. The front desk said it was mentioned on Ctrip (it was, but in tiny font about seven or eight pages down). There were also no compensation measures. When we checked out, there were even other guests who had driven over specifically for the hot springs, only to be told it was closed that day. They also made a wasted trip, so the unclear signage is definitely not an isolated incident. Other than that, the value for money is quite good, and the private hot spring (sitang) fees are reasonable, though the private springs only offer the 'silver' spring (yintang).

Banyan Tree Suzhou Shishan

Banyan Tree, as always, is wonderfully secluded and comfortable! The butler, a lovely lady, upgraded our room again. And we even ran into Alice Xiaoxiao, the butler who assisted us during our stay last year – it was great to see her again! She proactively reached out before check-in to ask about our needs and was incredibly responsive to all our requests. The concierge service upon arrival was also very thoughtful. The courtyards, lush greenery, and water features are beautifully designed, offering a new picturesque view at every turn. The views from our room were truly refreshing and invigorating! Kids' toiletries were fully stocked, and the complimentary soft drinks were of good quality, not just an afterthought. The hotel also offers free activities like Baduanjin (a traditional Chinese exercise), cocktail making, and night runs! Overall, a very satisfying stay! Excellent value for money! **Dining:** The hotel's Baiyun Restaurant is also fantastic. Even though dinner was a set menu from a group deal, every dish was surprisingly delicious! It's a perfect alternative to the Rongsheng Restaurant next door, where you often have to queue for two hours if you don't want to wait. They've changed breakfast to a mostly buffet style, which can sometimes mean colder food with a less-than-ideal texture. However, they still offer à la carte service upon request, which is great! And the champagne was delicious! **Activities:** This trip, we came specifically to climb Lion Mountain, and we successfully reached the summit – the entire scenic area is very thoughtfully developed! Safety measures are also very well implemented! Whether looking out from the mountain or gazing at it from the hotel, it's a view within a view – perfect for photos! There are several well-designed buildings nearby, like museums and science centers, all within walking distance. The hotel key card provides direct access to Lion Mountain Park, and in the evening, they even offer transportation for a golf course tour. The park has added more activities since last year, including a mini-train, cycling, and boating. This year, we even tried kayaking – so much fun! We'll definitely be back next year! Our sincere thanks to Alice Xiaoxiao, our butler, who made our first stay enjoyable and our second even more comfortable. Also, a big shout-out to the handsome concierge who helped with our luggage! The auntie providing turn-down service gave our child small gifts and drinks, and the three lovely ladies at the bar patiently taught us cocktail making… All the hotel staff made us feel so warm and welcome. Looking forward to our next stay!
