"The exterior is absolutely beautiful, and the rooms are incredibly spacious and well-appointed for a 5-star hotel. 👍 It's very clean and quiet! Yokohama hotel rooms are significantly larger than those in Tokyo, and the service attitude is excellent. 😍 The front desk staff were also very welcoming and helped us with our luggage. The hotel is close to the station! Plus, there are several shopping malls nearby, making dining and shopping very convenient. There are many great restaurants to choose from.
Yokohama is completely different from Tokyo; it has a smaller population and more space, making for a very comfortable stay."

Amazing
GGuest UserI come to Tokyo several times a year, staying a fortnight or more each time. This time I spent seven nights at The Capitol Hotel Tokyu.
The room faced Hie Shrine. Through the floor-to-ceiling windows I could see the shrine's copper roof and half of Tokyo's skyline. The décor was modern without excess; the layout flowed easily, Bose speakers hidden in the walls, another set in the bathroom ceiling, connected by a 3.5mm jack. The curtains were motorized, though you hardly needed to close them.
The turndown service. I would leave in the evening and return late to find the room changed: only the hallway light and bedside lamp left on, a bottle of water and a glass on the nightstand, two chocolates beside them. The evening tea and teacup, previously stored in the cabinet, had been moved next to the coffee machine. These changes were so slight you had to think back carefully to confirm they had happened at all. The temperature and humidity had been adjusted. As if the room itself remembered your habits.
Room service fell short of the ryokan in Hakone or Lake Toya, but well above the ordinary hotel. Each day I made two or three cups of complimentary coffee, played music, read, wrote. In seven days I finished three books. The research ahead began to take shape.
There were drawbacks. No washing machine, but a decent laundromat ten minutes' walk away—a chance to wander the streets of Akasaka. The room provided HDMI and ethernet ports but no cables; for those who came to rest, perhaps a mercy. The minibar fridge was mostly occupied by drinks for purchase, same as the Imperial, though there was still room for my sparkling water.
The day I left it was half past five and fully dark. I could barely make out the faces of the bellhop and the taxi driver. Together they loaded my luggage into the boot. I wished the bellhop a happy new year in Japanese and told her I liked her hat. She smiled and returned the greeting. As the taxi pulled out of the underground drive, I thought of the inns Kawabata once wrote about: what had to be sought in the mountains of snow country can now be reached by elevator from the B2 exit of a metro station.
I have watched the Shinagawa Prince Hotel loosen quietly over time, slip a little. That kind of decline is rarely one great error. It begins the day someone forgets to leave a glass of water, neglects to move a packet of tea, omits a newspaper. As for The Capitol Hotel Tokyu: in Japanese, what I experienced over these seven days is called ちょうどいい.
AAnonymous UserJanu is hands down the best hotel I've stayed at in Tokyo – so new and incredibly modern!
First off, the dining options are amazing. Just for breakfast, you have three different restaurants to choose from, and they're all complimentary. The food is delicious and varied. There are two Japanese restaurants, an Italian place, Cantonese, a grill, and even afternoon tea! Ordering in-room dining is super convenient too, you can do it right from the iPad. Plus, the minibar is free.
The wellness area is unbelievably comprehensive. Besides the spa, gym, pool, and sauna, they even have a nail salon and a hair stylist! That's incredibly convenient and a wonderful surprise; I definitely need to try it next time. I had a facial this trip, and it was excellent! If you love working out, you can book fitness classes. I even saw an indoor golf simulator and a boxing ring… I'm genuinely shocked. It’s perfect for both shopping trips and relaxing getaways.
The rooms are also very spacious, not cramped at all. The staff are exceptional; you can tell they're much better trained than at other hotels. The hotel upgraded my room, and I've stayed in both types of rooms – they're actually quite similar in size. All rooms are pretty much the same unless you're in a suite. The view from the Tokyo Tower-facing rooms isn't particularly special, though.
The only minor downside is that this hotel doesn't have a strong partnership with Trip.com. When I wanted to extend my stay, customer service told me only twin rooms were available, but I found king rooms when I checked directly with the hotel. However, I'm very grateful that customer service helped me book restaurants in advance this time. 😊
Looking forward to my next visit! 🥳🥳

Amazing
GGuest UserTheir service attitude good, though they may need more housekeeping staff, as service is a bit slow. The reason their service attitude is good because my bottle of water came 20-30 mins late and their housekeeping supervisor came to apologize. Rest of the staff are all very polite and have good attitude.
Overall good value for money.

GGuest UserThis hotel is located on the second floor of Haneda Airport Terminal 3. You can see the signs directly after exiting international arrivals. The facilities are new, and the room size is adequate. The river view rooms offer great sunset views. There's an outdoor hot spring bath. The mini-bar is free and well-stocked. Breakfast is à la carte, with a choice of Japanese or Western style, and it's quite delicious. Shopping and dining are convenient. It's perfect for catching an early flight.

Amazing
GGuest UserThe room is clean and comfortable, and the staff are kind , helpful and careful. Check-in makes people feel very relaxed. It will be a return visit to the hotel. The location is convenient, and the room space is great! There will be essential oils attached to sleep and relax in bed. Housekeeping is amazingly perfect on those details.
It is worthy of its 5-star. From the beginning of check-in (take luggage) to check-in, housekeeping, the attitude of every service staff are absolutely amazing. The counter service staff and service are very good.
GGuest UserThe hotel's location is great, quite close to the subway station, and it's convenient to walk to Ginza. In my opinion, the one major drawback is that the staff's English proficiency is absolutely terrible! On both occasions I've stayed here, the front desk staff could barely speak English during check-in, requiring a translation device, which wasted a lot of time and effort. Even more ridiculous, when I called from my room to request an extra pillow, the staff member who answered couldn't understand English. We repeated the English word for ”pillow” at least ten times, and even spelled out the letters one by one, but it was still useless – we simply couldn't communicate. Overall, the hotel has a good location and the rooms are generally decent, but the English level of the staff is genuinely the worst I've encountered in any Japanese hotel.

Great
GGuest UserThe hotel is conveniently located right above the airport bus stop, which is great, but honestly, there's not much difference in price if you take a taxi. I'd still recommend a taxi.
The hotel is surrounded by excellent amenities; you can reach it right after exiting the subway. There are plenty of shopping malls and restaurants to choose from nearby. It's only a 30-minute ride from the hotel to downtown Tokyo, and getting to the airport by taxi takes just over ten minutes.
I especially recommend the hotel's balcony! 🙊
BBuchadianshenghuoThe hotel's location was excellent, and the rooms were very spacious, exceeding my expectations. The hotel was immaculately clean, truly spotless. Each floor has six rooms that share a common lounge area. After each use, staff would come to clean it thoroughly, restoring it to its pristine condition, which was incredibly thoughtful. Every staff member at the hotel was extremely kind and friendly. I particularly loved the rooftop hot spring; after a soak, they even provided ice-cold milk, which was a lovely touch. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my stay.
CCindy2023!The hotel's location is excellent, very close to both the train and subway stations. We were traveling to Narita Airport, and after taking the Airport Express to Asakusa Station, it was only about a 5-minute walk to the hotel. From our room, we could even see the Skytree, which was beautiful both in the morning and at night. It's very suitable for family trips, especially with kids, as they offer free yogurt in the mornings and free ramen and ice cream in the evenings, which the children loved. The only minor issue is that the facilities are a bit old; the faucet needs to be turned off very tightly, otherwise it keeps dripping. This was my first time staying in a tatami room, which was a novel experience. Most of the staff primarily spoke Japanese, with limited English, but both sides made a great effort, and basic communication was fine.
