Location was considerably near train station but required a steep uphill walk towards it, was a challenge with heavy luggages. Quiet neighborhood, with a nice village view from the balcony and fresh air. Breakfast spread was decent. Reception counter was not manned all the time, especially late at night or early mornings. Hairdryer was not available in the room, had to use the common one in the basement sauna changing room.

Environment: Facing the Eiger Mountain, it is very comfortable to have a leisurely dinner on the balcony. When you come down the first hill by scooter, you will pass by this hotel, so it is convenient to go upstairs to put your things down and take a rest. Just be sure to take the bus when you come here with luggage. Although it’s a 20-minute walk, it’s all uphill and it’s super tiring! ! Hygiene: Hygiene is very good. The water from the tap is direct drinking water, both hot and cold. The breakfast is good with a wide variety. There is a bicycle room downstairs.

Absolutely loved this place! It’s an old building, but everything is very clean and well-maintained. The atmosphere is super cozy, It’s located slightly away from the typical tourist areas, which makes it peaceful and quiet, but still close enough to get anywhere easily. The town itself is calm and very pleasant to stay in, perfect for spending a whole day just relaxing in the courtyard without going anywhere. It’s also very accessible from Interlaken or Spiez — just a short 15-minute bus ride. Even though the bus only comes once an hour, it’s easy to manage if you check the schedule. Highly recommend this peaceful and charming stay!

Peaceful and enjoyable stay in an Alpine village 🏔️🇨🇭 We (3 people) chose Hotel Stern for our stay from July 25th to 28th. It's in a beautiful location, nestled among Alpine villages, about 30 minutes from Interlaken. One of the best perks of the hotel is that guests receive a free tourist travel card that can be used in Interlaken and the surrounding area. Our room was a duplex. The upper floor had three single beds, while the lower floor featured a bathroom, toilet, a living area with a sofa, and an American-style kitchen. The room didn't have a balcony, but even though it was on the terrace level, we never had to worry about the heat. Even in July, the weather in Interlaken was so cool that we slept with a duvet at night. 😊 There's a rather steep staircase in the room, which I should point out, but it wasn't an issue for us. I can't talk about the hotel without mentioning the owner. She is incredibly sweet, friendly, and hospitable. She greeted us personally and gave us a really enjoyable orientation filled with jokes and humor. When she asked if we needed anything in the room, we requested an electric Turkish coffee pot, but I guess our coffee pot took a little tour of Switzerland and forgot to come back. 😂☕️ Thankfully, as Turks, we were able to make our own coffee using the pot and stove in the room. You can stay here with complete peace of mind regarding cleanliness and quietness. We were very satisfied with our stay. I definitely recommend it, especially to those who want to stay in a calm and peaceful environment in an Alpine village. When we return to Switzerland, Hotel Stern will definitely be among our accommodation choices again. I sincerely thank them. 🇨🇭🏔️

It's near the Interlaken neighborhood, surrounded by villa-type houses. If the weather is good, you can see the snow-capped mountains outside the window. There is a French-style back garden, which is very artistic and beautiful, and the scenery is very good! Note, do not book a single room of ten square meters. It is pitifully small. The other rooms are not bad, but the equipment is a bit old. There is also no elevator. Those who live upstairs have to carry their luggage.

I think it's alright. The hotel has a cow-themed decor. The room is old, but the bathroom seems to have been renovated, which is fine. The front desk service was also decent. The room is quite spacious, but it's not really suitable for taking photos. If you're looking to take pictures, this hotel is definitely not a good choice.

Beautiful environment, ideal location, convenient transportation, great breakfast, warm indoor environment, and kettle. You can see the green mountains outside the window, and you can fall asleep to the sound of water at night, which is very comfortable!

Switzerland is really beautiful to live in Grindelwald. This hotel apartment is generally ordinary, but the scenery is really beautiful. If you want to live in the mountains, you need to choose what traffic is. Going to the center to shop needs to take the bus. It takes only a few minutes to take the bus. If you choose to walk for about 20 minutes, it will be very dry. The hotel can cook things but there is no range hood, so we can do it on the balcony, otherwise the whole room will smell of oily smoke. But watching the beautiful scenery cook and eat is also a special experience. It is worth coming once in a lifetime! But let me go for the second time, I will choose to live in interlaken or Tuen, young people are suitable for going to places with many people, and Greendwa is enough to go back and forth on the same day alone. Staying for 7 days is a bit boring

The service is excellent - they have their own kitchen with cooking utensils and dishes, so you can cook! Plus the owners are Chinese and they offer a lot of convenience. They have three chain hotels you can stay at. Overall, I highly recommend it. Great for storing luggage too.The transportation is also very convenient! Interlaken is a small town - one day is enough to see it all. The shops offer services in multiple languages.
