2-Star Hotels in Koh Phangan District

We stayed for 3 nights, which felt like more than enough time before heading to Koh Tao. We had plenty of time to visit the viewpoint and take photos everywhere without the crowds of day-trippers. It truly felt like we were on a deserted island! The room had everything we needed: toiletries, hot water, a fridge, a kettle, tea, and coffee. Housekeeping was daily. Breakfast was included, even though it wasn't mentioned in the booking. For breakfast, they bring you a sheet where you mark what you'd like them to prepare (the menu is consistent, but you can choose how your eggs are cooked and your coffee – the coffee seemed to be instant). There are two restaurants on the island: one on the hotel premises where breakfast is served, offering European cuisine. The other is further down, near the 'spit,' and serves Thai food with more reasonable prices; day-trippers often ate there. Prices are higher than on Koh Tao for obvious reasons, as there are no shops. However, there's a free daily shuttle to Koh Tao and back, which is convenient for longer stays. For example, a 0.33L beer on the island costs 120 baht, a mango shake is 150 baht, and dishes start from 300+ baht.

Этот домик расположен удачнее, чем остальные, потому что с одной стороны нет соседей, вид на джунгли. Нужно подниматься вверх с довольно крутым наклоном, чтобы попасть в Boho. Это очень маленький участок. Но требует рывка. Домики новенькие, очень приятные, эстетичные. Небольшие. Двоим хватает места, поскольку есть небольшая веранда, где удобно сидеть на пуфиках и пить чай. Ванная комната маленькая. Раковина там не уместилась. И зубы чистили в раковине в кухонной зоне. Это серьезный минус нашего бунгало. Еще один минус - один день не убирали в номере. Встретили комплиментом - охлажденным коктейлем из кокоса. Было очень вовремя после подъема. Все вопросы решались мгновенно. Персонал профессиональный. Мы бы с удовольствием вернулись в этот отель.

Excellent location, a picturesque spot. I believe it's the best part of Haad Rin beach. The bungalow is spacious and comes with a veranda. If I'm ever on Koh Phangan again, I'll definitely come back here. Monkeys, monitor lizards, and squirrels pass by. Birds and cicadas sing. There's construction happening nearby, but that will eventually finish. So, all that's left is to enjoy the beauty of this place.

Friendly service and they book cars for you. No complaints other than having a loud neighbor half the stay

Loved the hotel! They let me check in much earlier than the stated time without any issues. The staff was very friendly. The room was clean, and housekeeping was available on demand. They refilled the water bottles every day. The room had AC, a hairdryer, shower gel, shampoo, cups, and glasses. The hot water pressure was good, despite having an instantaneous water heater. The hotel is beautiful and well-maintained. There's a nice common area by the pool with sun loungers and tables. There are cafes and shops nearby. You can walk to the pier in 15-20 minutes, or get there in about 8 minutes on a moped.

Honestly best hostel in Koh Tao. Staff are fantastic there’s lots of hang out space and parking. The rooms are consistently spotless. Really made my trip. Would recommend no other hostel on island compared. I stayed in another before hand and it cost more for way less. They have a bar too with good prices.

Una maravilla de hotel, a pocos pasos de la preciosa playa de Sairee Beach. Nos alojamos en la suite Luna de miel y fue un acierto, una especie de cabaña preciosa con vistas al mar y la piscina infinita del hotel. La atención del personal fue fantástica. La habitación muy bonita, con ventanales hacia el mar y una terraza perfecta para tomar algo y ver el atardecer. Lo recomiendo totalmente, nos ha encantado.

I stayed at Limelight Village for 2 weeks in February and loved it so much, I came back for 3 weeks in March! There are 8 detached units, which are very private, with very comfortable beds, soft sheets, a terrace and I little area out the back which is great for drying as it gets so hot! The staff are so friendly and welcoming and clean the rooms very well and always with a smile! Breakfast was good with a selection of cooked and cold options, served with juice and a hot drink. The accommodation is directly on a stunning beach and the pool as a fabulous optional extra! I highly recommend this place to stay and am already booking next year! ”Spectacular views, shame about everything else” Venus on Koh Phangan is the definition of a mixed bag—and unfortunately, the negatives outweigh the positives here. Let's start with what works: the view is absolutely stunning. Perched overlooking the water, it's genuinely breathtaking and exactly what you'd hope for when booking an island getaway. If you're someone who can sit on a balcony and stare at the sea for hours, you'll get that here. The problem is you'll have to stare at it from a very tired room. The accommodation is old and frankly, dying for a renovation. Everything feels dated and worn—furniture, fittings, decor—like stepping back in time but not in a charming way. It's functional at best. The location compounds the issues. It's terrible—nothing around at all, and almost inaccessible by foot. You'll absolutely need your own transportation (scooter or taxi) just to get to a restaurant or convenience store. If you're without wheels, you're stranded. Overall, Venus trades entirely on its view, but neglects everything else. If you prioritize scenery above all and have your own transport, maybe. Otherwise, look for somewhere that puts equal effort into the actual accommodation and location.

Overall, it was good, but we were met by a very dissatisfied woman who didn't even know anyone would settle and for what time. She told us to wait 20 minutes e until she washed the floor in our bungalow. This moment confused me, it feels that no one is waiting at all and is not preparing for the settlement. If you say so for the first time in Phangan, it is good for the first time, but for such money you can find something better
